Go to a "Discount Foods" store that sells expired food. It will be labeled as "salvaged".
Buy a couple of 20 lb bags of rice for $3 each. Buy a couple of 20 lb bags of beans for another $3 each. Use your remaining $2 to buy a 100 count multi-vitamin supplement.
If you do this and you have access to water and a means to cook your beans and rice you can live for a year if you ration yourself properly.
