>Along with E.O. Wilson, James Watson is perhaps the most distinguished living figure in American biology, and yet even he was not immune to immediate expulsion from the very lab he created and built up over 40 years of his life, and excommunication from the scientific establishment that celebrated him. All this for one crime: voicing scientific facts and hypotheses that made this community uncomfortable.
Thank goodness for OP! I was upset when I missed the first 45 threads about this today, but I was lucky enough to be here in time for the 46th and the next forty after it

What a scientific viewpoint! Care to explain to me why this man's reputation has been slandered and life ruined?

What is UP with the influx in Watson topics? I feel like some /pol/ack found out a story about Watson selling his medal 2 years ago and everyone who didn't know shit about him, his accomplishments or some of his dumbass opinions jumped on a bandwagon and started spamming Veeky Forums. Mods.

Watson, along with Francis Crick also stole most of his raw data from Rosalind Franklin, and then published his findings. At least Crick owned up to it in the end, and even went on to do more projects with that data. Watson just kinda played politics the whole time.

>our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours
This is the most retarded reasoning I've ever seen.
(they arent as smart as us [CITATION NEEDED]) implies (they cannot advance their society)
What does he mean by that? By what margin are they not as 'smart'? Why exactly would this affect their society?
You know, he is just a racist but that said, black people should not be a protected class. He should have said that, then someone should have pointed pout 'Ayy that's a bit racist there m8' then he should have said 'Maybe, I'll keep testing though' then the other guy responda 'Sure m8' and then everyone could have keep going about their day.
Taking the greatest minds out of our institutions just because of meaningless opinions is a disservice to humanity.
That said, I am a man of color and I lately I've been feeding on white tears so who cares.

>i-it's all d-down to /p-pol/!!! What was done to this man was an actual outrage and some of us will never forget it. It brought shame on the scientific "community" and was done solely to silence unwanted truths
Nathaniel Long

Where were you the last fucktillion years to defend this man?
I don't care who you are or where you came from, the fact is that you just jumped on a bandwagon.
If you ask me, that's pretty sad. That you have no personality or agency.
Caleb Nguyen
>>p-pol >Some of us lol
Way to confirm the stereotype that you know nothing about what he has done or said, and why people accused him in the first place.
