Recycling leftovers

Let's talk about leftovers, Veeky Forums.
What's your favorite ways to use leftovers? Recipe ideas? Leftovers you love? Leftovers that seem impossible to use? Discuss.
(And you people who say "I don't eat leftovers" can fuck off, that's wasteful).

Tonight, I went through and used a bunch of leftovers to make flatbread wraps.
>grilled onion paratha, then placed on a baking sheet
>leftover creamy, spicy, kabocha squash soup used as a base sauce (spread over the paratha like you would pizza sauce)
>leftover grilled chicken breast from another meal, sliced and laid over that
>sprinkle some chopped onion
>leftover grilled mushrooms from burgers I made yesterday sprinkled over that
>used the last nub of some mozzarella and parmesan cheeses to sprinkle over that
Put that in the oven at 450F and baked till cheese was browned and bubbly
>take out, plate, and top with leftover arugula salad
>fold up and eat

Fucking really good. Delicious. 10/10 would eat again. Whenever I have little bits of stuff leftover is when miracles happen.

>people who say "I don't eat leftovers" can fuck off,
I don't eat leftovers because I never have any. People who can't plan ahead can fuck my mum.

Or you're just a fat fuck who always "cleans his plate" like mommy taught you.

Leftovers are inevitable unless you're a smug cunt who lives alone, like yourself.

Fine. Don't fuck my mum then.

>you're just a fat fuck
Logically that would be you because having leftovers shows that you lack portion control and just cook a bunch of stuff so you can eat until you don't feel like eating any more. So you cook more than you need in case you feel like eating more, because you don't want to run out of food.

Just for the record, btw. Cooking extra meals ahead of time is a lot different than than cooking more than you need.
I don't want to kill the thread. Just wanna help you be a healthier and happier you.

>I don't want to kill the thread. Just wanna help you be a healthier and happier you.
Well, that's just a flat out lie. You're being an obnoxious cunt because you didn't like the "people who don't eat leftovers can fuck off" part of the OP.

I live in a house with three other people, and am a professional cook who also does most of the cooking at home, and we always have some kind of leftovers in the fridge, because you can't control how much other people are or aren't going to eat. You're guesstimating.
Now, stop being an autist fucklord.

ITT: the aspie OP 'argues' with himself.

Nope, I'm the OP, and I'm just waiting for people to actually talk about using their leftovers instead of this nonsense.

Fuck you. Hidden and filtered.
>my wife married me so I can cook for her kid
Just let little Tyrone take the leftovers to his dad.

He is right, though.

Wow, someone got super assblasted. Chill, dude.

Leftovers are an ingredient unto themselves.

Mashed potatoes can be repurposed into latkes or loaded potato soup.

Cheap seared pork ribs can be made into stir fry.

Chili can be made into chili mac, coney sauce for hot dogs, or just on rice.

Just buy what's cheap, spend some time making something tasty, and the options fall into place.

A leftover baked potato is perfect for slicing into thin chips and frying in a pan.

My favorite way is probably these mac n cheese cakes I made. I'd mix cold leftover mac with an egg or two depending on hoe much, some italian seasoning bc I'm lazy, bread crumbs, salt n pepper.
Make into little patties and fry in a pan with a little oil.

I imagine this is pretty close to your level of cooking.

Great uses for leftover mashed potatoes, m8. Mashed potatoes can also be used to make a crust for quiche or savory pie. You just grease your pie pan well, and press the mashed potatoes into it, brush the crust with some oil or melted butter, then prebake the shell at 350F for 30 minutes. Then, once it's cool, you can use it for a quiche or savory pie, or you can refrigerate it to use the next day.

My man. You have given me another dish to add to my repertoire...

This thread is hilarious.

I love reusing mash, have never done this. Thanks user.

I always use up my leftovers or freeze them.

Leftover steak is used to make beef stew.
Leftover roast is used to make tacos.

Leftover baked potato is chopped and used in breakfast burritos.

Rice is used to make another rice dish- fried rice.

Leftover pasta/noodles is used soup or given a different topping like pesto.

Chicken, pork, beef, turkey, will use the leftovers in pot pies.

Leftover mashed potatoes I will make a shepherds pie.

Leftover sausage I will use in a pot of beans

Bubble And Squeak! A boxing day staple.

Northern scum.

I'm from the South West, Bubble and Squeak is based.

I guess southerners eat falafel on boxing day instead.
