so are those balls smashing together in your pic like an analogy for your and you lovers' balls smashing together when you have anal sex or what

read the filename, the anal-ogy was pretty clear.

Mechanics is the most boring shit ever

>Going into disguised applied maths rather than actual maths

Masters student. Mathematical physics.

Integrable models and shit, right now working in Hamiltonians and Solitons.

undergraduate going into senior year reporting in, applying to grad school for phd program next semester

HAHAHAHAH!

Applied math is no near this low-level crap field too little math to be compared.

Almost forgot:

Get out of here you degenerate anime pedophile shitposter.

Over and out.

Please explain magnetism. Is it direct consequense of relativity? After all,
[math]\bar{B}=\frac{1}{c^2} \bar{v} \times \bar{E}[/math] for single charged particle.

>Into Hamiltonians
Guess you could say you're Not Blowing away your... shot

dude you totally burned him

over and out

Just finished my bachelor going into masters. Gonna try for theoretical particle physics because I don't want to have a job and it seems cool

So if 2 planets orbited a star at 0.5c in opposite directions, which planet would have its time slowed? Would an objects time be slowed only if its sent from one to the other?

Looking for some insight

I'm interested to see what everyone's exams are like.. uploading mine in a sec

these are the exams I've had so far. 2.5h. you're meant to do all of section A & 3 of section B.

Do any of you pity me? haha

Taking physics because I couldn't get into engineering/physics conjoint degree. Just encountered that conservation of energy is not a good way to deal with a capacitor problem.

>degree
Pure physics. English, just finished my first year. Not got my results back yet, but I'm pretty sure I smashed all my exams.

A lot of the year was just continuation of A level, but with more involved maths. Hardest module was EM, easiest probably vibrations or rel mech

hey guys i'm interested in doing an honors in physics with a specialization in physics-mathematics. here's the courseload with the electives i want.

>imgur.com/gXEgRUC
What uni is this? For some reason lin alg is not required by my uni which I found strange. Is is usually standard or because of the phy-math specialization?

OttawaU

sounds pretty much like my life

>degree
Still a lowly undergrad, poor me. Will get a degree in pure physics, pure math and astrophysics

>experiences
I don't have many yet... I just graduated 3rd year but I'm doing a victory lap after next year so I got 2 more years.

>institution
UW-Madison

>fields of study
I've been working in a condensed matter lab for the past year and I like it. Also writing a cosmology per right now. I don't really know what I want to do yet. All I know is that I don't want to do biophysics or plasma.

Anyone have any advice for me? I know they say go to a grad school that has an experiment you're interested in but the problem is, I'm kinda interested in all of it. I can't even choose between theory or experiment.

>degree
Physics from Princeton

>experiences
Got a full paid internship with a top 20 Fortune 500 company

>field of study
advanced quantum mechanics with future goals being the study of string theory

Imgur link is from Oxford. It's just for physics

I'm in another British uni and I'm pretty sure some of those questions were among my homework/exams during my first year, maybe even in the same exact words.

Czech masters student here. I am currently in Mathematical Modelling and Computation specialising in Continuum Mechanics. In Czech Republic a doctoral student gets paid the minimum wage. I would rather work at McDonalds than endure so much stress for the same money. Fuck the intellectual satisfaction i am not a sheep.

Turns out I didn't link the album
