Happenings work like this:
Is your life shit?
>Yes
>No
When enough answer yes (about 30% of young working men), It's Happening.
On the internet you are getting an biased sample, because it tends to attract losers and brainlets whose personal lives are a clusterfuck of sadness so they would love the world to end, so they can put on their go bags and bug out and survive the apocalypse with their youtube skills. Hey who knows, maybe they will find some cute lonely girls along the way and save their lives and get some reward sex.
In the real world, outside, most people are doing fine. The stockmarket recovered, they were unemployed for 6-8 months during 2008 but have solid new jobs now, interest rates are low, consumption is normal, they are happy and content.
Now this political cycle it's just a media circus show. Conservatives want their own Obama moment where they elect their own Hope and Change guy in Trump, Liberals want to elect a woman. Hillary will win something like 60-40 it wil be a bloodbath. The media NEEDS you to think it will be a very close race, so they have to pump out as much Trump content as possible because it will keep you watching in suspense, can Trump really do it? Can he defeat the politicians? Tune in next month, and so on.
Can another crash happen? The only thing incredibly overvalued worldwide right now is property, but the people buying real estate are doing it with a lot of money down and secure jobs. Energy is incredibly oversold and there is downward pressure on mining and gas companies, it affected Venezuela and Russia both of which are collapsing, but Saudi and the rest of OPEC seem fine.
Happenings happen all the time in shitty countries. They tend to not happen in developed countries, because we have infrastructure and wealth. Remember during the height of the 2008-9 bubble bursting, a lot of baby boomers made out like bandits buying dozens of cheap condos and houses and then flipping for 100%+ return.
