Ramping up those vegetables?

What do you do to ramp up that grass shit you're supposed to eat? Wife and I agreed a long time ago most of it tastes the same and what does taste different is pretty god awful, so whenever we do have veggies with the meal we spruce them up for the kids and ourselves.

Celery - Ranch dressing for dip, or peanut butter in the crevice.

Canned Carrots - Mixed with some brown sugar

Whole carrots - also just dip in ranch

Broccoli - Nacho cheese

Green beans - put some bacon grease/bacon fat in with it

Potatoes - If whipped, sour cream goes great with it, sometimes ranch instead. Mixed with shredded cheese. If whole potato, chilli spuds with butter, cheese, sour cream, crushed doritos, taco sauce

Sugar is the only healthy option, it basically turns vegetables into fruits. So I put either different sugars or sweet-sour sauces. This also happens to improve the taste. But doesn't work with all types. Broccoli with sugar is GOAT

Jesus, make a stir fry, put tons of vegetables in ramen, have steamed vegetables with rice, or have a salad.

All the options you listed are disgusting.

I thought I was the only bacon and green beans guy

we save all the grease whenever we make bacon, goes great in the water with canned green beans.

have you considerate to incorporate those vegtables into your cooking and food, instead of dipping them into dressings with high amount of sugar in it?

Chicken soup with veggies, put a juiced lime in there also

Salad with croutons, bacon bits, chunks of chicken, and your choice of dressing. Go with spinach for the keeds

Ye old baked assorted veggies in the oven with seasoning n oil

Cheese whiz in the crevice of celery CMON MAN

>Green beans - put some bacon grease/bacon fat in with it
If you need fiber in your diet, might as well buy it from the pharmacy.
Because bacon ruins the taste of fresh green beans. Just cook them and add butter.

>green beans
>taste

They're lettuces even ugly cousin. At least lettuce does just taste like grass. Green beans is mushy or rubbery grass.

I'll have to try the bacon, I usually just put like a pound of salt and pepper on it

Salt if it's something crunchy, vinegar if it's something leafy. That's pretty much it.

Do you somehow feel an obligation to eat green beans?
Is it some sort of ritual of masochism?
I mean I hate pudding, but I don't go through a weekly pudding eating trial.

learn how to cook actual meals

>ranch ranch ranch
>nacho cheese
>ranch ranch
>peanut butter ranch
>bacon grease

So if this isn't bait, how fat are you and did you marry a hippo and are your kids chunky wibbly wobblers?

Asparagus - boiled and on buttered toast, or oven baked 5/6 spears with 1 strip of bacon wrapped around them

Broccoli - raw chopped in salad, steamed, occasionally (rarely) with cheese sauce (and just enough to add other flavors, not swimming in the stuff)

Green beans - not canned, fresh, sautéed in oil with black pepper and garlic

Add these veggies to these dishes.
Baked potato soup - baked potatoes, onions, chives, garlic, celery, and corn.
Pork/Chicken soup/Beef stew - chopped pork, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, tomatoes, parsnips
Spaghetti sauce - finely diced carrots, zucchini, tomato, onion, bell pepper, sautéed okra, mushrooms
Omelets - spinach, onion, bell pepper, tomato, mushroom, chives
Salad - lettuce (duh), red cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, celery, zucchini, tomato, onion, bell pepper, mushroom
Stir fry - green beans, bell pepper, onion, carrot, mushrooms, corn
Fajitas - same as stir fry but add these veggies raw as toppings - tomato, chives, red cabbage, lettuce, avocado (yes a fruit I know)

A nice way to add some veggies and some good flavor add salsa.
Sautéed onions till starting to caramelize will become sweet.
Baked carrots/parsnips become sweet as well.

This thread disgusts me. Please stop breeding more heathens like yourselves.

blue cheese sauce and crushed almonds with green beans is great

>Catalog
doesn't he blue cheese completely overpower the taste of the beans?

LEGALIZE IT

If you have to dip your vegetables in something, at least pick something that isn't completely terrible for you. Try some hummus, it at least isn't sugar or fucking ranch dressing.

I don't "ramp it up" I just eat ramps.

Ok here's what I do -

Celery - This is the way to go - Ranch dressing for dip, or peanut butter in the crevice. Can also be used in soups/salads/chicken salad/tuna salad etc.

Canned Carrots - Forget the sugar, just steam them and pour a little olive oil on them. Nothing wrong with Ranch or Blue Cheese dips either.

Whole carrots - Can be shaved and put into a salad, meat dishes, sauteed/steamed.

Broccoli - Steam and mix with some olive oil/garlic. Also good in stir fry and

Green beans - put some bacon grease/bacon fat in with it. Good idea.

Potatoes - If whipped, sour cream goes great with it, sometimes ranch instead. Mixed with shredded cheese. If whole potato, chilli spuds with butter, cheese, sour cream, crushed doritos, taco sauce

Or, just cut the tops, spread a little olive oil, salt, and pepper on them and stick 'em in the oven unti they're crispy. Or cut them and fry 'em!
