We are talking about thousands of data inputs which each needs to have maximum security maintenance at all times to function. And this is a small company, companies like Samsung have millions of data inputs. The world of networks and IT is more complicated than it looks and it doesn't work in the way people like you imagine. No, a bank doesn't just get their rates from some database or via magic. Each small fucking 2 square foot currency exchange box have to maintain hundreds of Oracle data inputs...
