You guys really need to find some better things to blow your leverage gambling gains on.
Escort >Will pretend to be your girlfriend for $2k/night >Looks better online >Decreases nighttime situational awareness >Disease and bacteria laden fleshbag >Thinks infrared is a nail polish color >Will give up your position and trade sex for her life >Demands food and water after 2 hours of continuous use
AN PVS-7D >Will function reliably for 15,000 hours >Image is too HD to be accurately photographed >Can detect a lit cigarette at 1 mile, campfire at 20 miles >Assembled in clean room and nitrogen purged >Allows friendlies to be identified with IR strobes >Will help you successfully evade your pursuers >Runs 40+ hours on 2 standard AAs
night vision but make sure to get 4th gen and not 3rd
Jordan Baker
Do NVG still get blown out if a strong light source is shone at them?
Aaron Thompson
No, the tech got beyond that in the early 90s
Hunter Hill
I would honestly rather go with a thermal instead. NVG's are ok but their kind of limited in their capability. They don't have the best depth perception and can be hard to get used to. That being said they're still a good tool. Thermals are good because it allows you to look into the shadows and see if anyone is there, but they have their limitations too. The perfect google would be one that blends both together, but I'm sure that's a long way away.
Brody Flores
Arguably before that
Not really, the AN/PSQ-20 is available right now... it's just $20,000 or so IIRC
Jayden Lopez
I was not aware of this. That's fucking tight.
Christopher Howard
fug hooker in the dark with nightvision muhgoggles?
Nolan Peterson
Would you recommend the $20k gogglesfor for someone who's never used a pair before? I feel like I'd be better suited to a good pair of each to start getting used to them.
Also what are good uses for them? I have some land attached to my new property and was thinking of holding events in the woods with my friends, this post has made me think night vish are a good idea.
Grayson Peterson
>virgin detected
Michael James
Well if I were to shill I would shill the NVGs we're currently selling at $2,229 and $2,899 on our site
They're about as good as you can get in a single tube optic before you go all hybrid thermal fusion, and they're military surplus so they're a good $1-2k cheaper than buying the same thing new.
Jordan Fisher
No way man, like the kommandostore.com said you can pick up a nice pair for under 3k. It would honestly be a waste of money to drop 20k on NVG's. I mean think about it, you can only use them for like 9 hours a day.
Matthew Cook
>if i were absolutely pathetic
Landon Robinson
I'd rather buy them new.
Jack King
holy shit im so glad i became autistic about Veeky Forums and not some other much more useless board
god damn thank you for the reminder OP, i used to shit away my life hyperfocusing on dumb shit
Every time you do a run of waxi boots, it's always when I'm broke.
Anthony Garcia
I'd recommend going to OpticsPlanet if you just want to do something quick... or if you want a more in depth straight from the manufacturer thing Nivisys LLC (Texas) is a great company that will build you NODs to order.
Make sure you get an OMNI 7 or higher spec tube, there's a lot of trash out there but that military standard will make sure you don't get suckered on a civilian spec optic.
Sorry user
Daniel Reyes
and there's the rub
Easton Thompson
what are the goggles clif high talks about that lets him see literal alien space ships flying around earth.
not kidding.
John Anderson
Is there anyone on biz with enough crypto that the government would plan a night raid on them?
Austin Lewis
It's not profitable to try to dupe or shill to people on Veeky Forums into buying a particular product.
Social influence campaigns are probably the only thing worth trying to do here, and even that is damn hard without a dedicated team and backing.
Henry Hill
so if i wear your austrian army jacket outside, with the austrian army badge on the arm, approx. how many time will i be beat up for being a 'nazi'?
Tyler Hughes
I've never heard of anyone taking issue with the Austrian stuff.
Everyone thinks Hitler was German
Nolan Jackson
I was looking at some FLIR cameras. Why you going for NV instead of FLIR?
Blake Rogers
OP i have a pair of PVS 7s and they're awesome. get a really nice used pair off of ebay or something.
nigger are you really promoting your shit on Veeky Forums? also i got two shirts instead of one from my last purchase so thanks for that
Brayden Sanders
How not to get fucked buying on ebay: 1. Make sure that they didn't use non nvg compatible lasers or red dots with the optic. This damage is permanent and not always obvious.
2. Make sure that the kit is nitrogen purged. PVS-7s can be disassembled easily via youtube video. Lotta idiots do this and then don't realize the just put a ton of humidity inside their super sensitive optic.... humidity that is now going to condense on sensitive electronics and mirrors the minute the temperature changes or they go on a road trip to a different altitude.
3. Make sure it is an OMNI 7 tube. You want autogating and a thin ion barrier film. Don't trust the seller necessarily, really easy to scam people just by swapping out the tube in the device.
Christopher Stewart
Resolution, cost, power consumption, field of view
Not necessarily in that order. IMO the AN/PSQ-20 and AN/PVS-21 LPNVG are superior to just raw thermal for something you're wearing on your face.
Both are very expensive, but amazing systems which overlay a thermal image on night vision. This is the best of both worlds. Best in class phosphor night vision and thermal imaging to help distinguish partially obscured or otherwise camouflaged targets.
Bored at work, was hoping to piss off brap poserts and inspire Veeky Forums to waste money in new and interesting ways instead of /r9k/ing about literal whores all day
I’ve been ordering from you guys since packages covered in pictures got v&. You guys have always been good. Keep it up.
Gavin Clark
Yes, I got mine off the AR15 forums for 1600 bucks. It’s autogated and thin filmed too. Took the tube out and looked the contract numbers and it matches up with OMNI 7. I’m not sure if mine was ever nitrogen purged though
Joseph Nguyen
Well if you took the tube out, it's not. The nitrogen purge applies to the housing the tube sits in, not the tube itself. All functional tubes (should) have a vacuum inside.
The good news is it's really easy to do with the right equipment, and your local optics/nvg shop will happily do it for cheap.
So if the tube itself is GTG, get that PVS7 purged and you're golden.
Here's to 5 years ;)
Glad you liked my shitpost user

>There is most probably some form of space warfare underway at this moment over your head. The amount of earth orbit space activity visible with 3rd generation night vision goggles will alter the local universe view of anyone who gets a chance to observe on even a few chemtrail free nights. The reason de guerre, and the participants are unknown. Those claiming to know are speculating or delusional or both.
At the risk of sounding /x/, he's kind of right. There's a lot of weird shit you can see in the night sky with these.
Aliens... not so sure. Spoopy things your civilian ass isn't supposed to be looking at? You betcha.
Man, that shit saved my ass in Afghanistan. It was night time, Kandahar, daily rocket attacks and high enemy activity. The escort in that Thai massage parlour off the boardwalk fucked my brains out. Never seen anything like it. You weren't there man. I guess you had to be there.
Elijah Morgan
PVS14 with DBAL checking in. Now what?
Asher Gray

What about sending donations to Israel?
Joseph Powell
The L-3 GPNVG-18 has made me drool since the day it came out
Ryan Bell
Enjoy a great optic and be careful with it. The PVS-14 is fragiillleeee
