Passive Income

Let's get a good old passive income thread going.

- How do you make passive income?
- How much are you making?
- Does it replace a wagecuck job?
- How long did it take you to figure it out?
- What do you do with your spare time?

No such thing as a passive income. You can make a product or a shop and then enjoy the long tail, but even that requires heavy maintenance if you want to maximize profit.

Gay for pay seems passive

How isn't there? I wrote a book, sell it on Amazon. I don't get heaps for it, about $150/month. But I do literally nothing for it. The money just appear in my account each month.

So NEO gas is not passive income?

U wrote a book, how is that passive, smfh.

sit down retard, learn to tie your shoes before you do anything else.

I just made my first website a few months ago, gaming related. Its getting done traction finally, breaking 1k uniques per day this month with only 500 uniques per day in December.

I'm thinking about monetising now because my site has proven to be useful for people. I'm going to place two 200x200 referral ads for products in my site's sidebar for things like Ironside PC's and ledger nano S.

My growth is starting to pick up and people join my discord everyday telling me how much they love the site. I reckon 10k visits per day is going to be a reality in about a year.

New to all of this, so can someone give me an idea of how much I'll be making now with two (hopefully high cpm) ads? Now with 1k uniques and later with 10k+. I'll also give the option to block ads for free since I'm nice and the community aspect is important and I don't want to tarnish it.

Lol are you serious? I did some work a long time a ago to create an indefinite income stream that requires no further input. That is literally what passive income is.

you can't explain these things to retards. no matter how good you are with words. congrats on the books income stream. most will never know the lifestyle and only be confused by it.

It is passive if it requires no further work. It doesn't matter what you think, that is what passive income is. What you want is something for nothing, a handout.

A website that you still need to post on and maintain isn't passive, although it might be good value after the initial work is done. So criticize that, but mine is passive. Perhaps 8176107 can get it to a point where others submit the content, then it will be passive.

My book on Amazon is completely managed by them. Ie someone buys it, Amazon print it and send it. Then they give me 60% of the sale price. I will never again have to do a second of work to earn this money, besides entering the income into my tax.

Note I'm not sure what the cpm on things like Ironside and ledger ads are.. that's what I'm most curious about.

Two ads (non intrusive) = double the income right?

lul

Ty user. It was a lot of work with no guarantee I'd ever sell a single one. Even learnt Photoshop to make the cover. Nice to see it paying off, even if its small.

Actually it kinda paid off bigger... Before this income I'd decided I'd never again put any more fiat into crypto. Once I got this I convinced myself it was bonus money (which was stupid, oh well), and when I crossed $1000 income from it I put it into COSS because of the shills here. Now its worth about $7000 (more if I'd not been an idiot and had sold that obvious pump)

Want to start writing as well and amazon seems like a good choice!
Any tips on best genre to write in and how you sell through amazon?

It's not truly passive (is anything?) but I earn a nice amount from rentals, letting rooms to students. It does require work and can be a pain when there are recurring problems with the houses that need work, but overall it works out as about £400/hr most months.

Well I wrote in non-fiction... Fiction seems fairly flooded and you would need to be quite good, I would imagine. Plus, my guess is no one will buy it if its more than like $2 unless it has good reviews.

I only sell 10-15 per month but I get about $12.50 each one - because it is such a unique topic, I can ask for more.

My advice is (if you go with non-fiction) pick something that you know more about than most people, even if it is highly specialised and you don't know if anyone would care. I wrote my book about a medical entrance exam. I didn't end up studying medicine, but I did really well in the exam 3 times (kept flunking the interview) so I wrote a guidebook to sitting it. I almost quit half way through because I convinced myself no one would actually buy it. Glad I persevered.

Also, if you get it over 100 pages in length, you can sell it as a paperback. Amazon automatically prints it on demand. Nearly 80% of my sales are paperback, in favor of e-book.

Recently they've added the feature where you as the author can order them at cost price (ie $2-$3 each), so I've started ordering them in bulk and re-selling them elsewhere like eBay. I get an even higher profit margin per book doing this, although that technically isn't passive because I have to post the book, I suppose. Good luck.

I really wanto to get into some passive income stuff.
Too bad that I am busy 24/7 with electrical engineering the next 1 1/2 years.

So many opportunities to make some bucks if one has an entrepreneur mindset.
For me it is losing money everyday I'm sitting in college.

Look into integrating Oyster Pearl / PRL into your website as additional revenue stream.

You should have seen it in some of the threads here on /biz by now.

We have to wait on that till April though right?

I think you can test it with the upcoming (or already running?) Testnet B.

thanks! I actually study medicine and will be finishing my masters soonish so maybe i can use that in some ways! Any other tips?

It is running but I think not out to the public, shit is kind of vague. They also promised re-opening of testnet A which hasn't happened yet. Not trying to be entitled but I'm not used to this shitty communication from the Oyster devs.

My daddy sends me $1k every week to spend on my video games and anime figurine collection. Id really recommend it, totally beats working or any of that stuff.
I'm still surprised that the bitcoin i used to buy drugs back in the day ended up netting me 600k, my dads gonna be so proud when i tell him im a smart businessman.

Inherited some money and bought a house. Rented it out and paid the mortgage off (wasnt much) an now it's passive. Barely do anything besides some basic maintenance twice a year. Nets me about 200 AU per week after costs

what if top?

Aim is to make 1mil after taxes, put it all in a bank, live off the returns. Should be about £1000 a week? Something like that.

Trying to moonshot as we speak. Not gonna get 1mil by wage cuckin’

Yes putting 1m of straight cash into a bank is the best way to profit. Mr Shekelstein will be very grateful for your well thought out plan

After Testnet A they tweaked and changed some stuff which a closed group is currently testing, after that it will re-open again.

Yeah dude have fun living off of .5% interest monthly very smart

1 mill in a bank makes a Max of 20k a year at like the best online bank for interest

You could litterally just buy bonds and beat that out

post link to your book

My time to shine. I sell weed. Only I don't sell weed I bankroll a buddy of mine who knows way way more people.
I buy 5 lbs of medical grade cannabis, always of one strain and always delicious and always different. My source is my source and mine alone.
I take it to my buddies house. I take out about a QP for personal use, as in a heavy daily smoker. The other 4.75 lbs he gets. He ends up with probably about the rest of that pound, as personal to either smoke or sell as pure profit. He sells off the rest for me in amounts no greater than a quarter ounce. And I get the profit from the 4 lbs sold. This basically doubles my money each time I do this, which is about every 2 or 3 weeks. He pays me, I re-up, and do it all again. Pocket the profit, smoke for free, little risk other than me picking up and dropping off.
Also. This is a good friend of mine. He knows that I have bond and lawyer money on deck for him.
