Sleep Deprivation Experiment

So today marks my first day staying up for 24 hours straight, I plan on staying up for 12 days straight and beating the world record by one day. I'm guessing this would be the right place to post this since it is a scientific experiment.

Please I've stayed up for 3 days straight but that involved drugs this won't only coffee or energy drinks nothing more.

fatal sleep deprivation is about 3 weeks and it requires outside stimuli to get there. Eventually, your body just shuts you down with melatonin.

I'm only doing 12 days not 3 weeks that's impossible without some sort of wake stimulate.

Also, you shouldn't go cold turkey on sleep. You should deprive yourself for a weekend every weekend for the next 6 months. Then get one good month of 8 hours of sleep before you go 12 fucking days.

Depending on how I feel I might go for 13 to make it interesting and it most likely won't be a world record officially because I'm not recording it I am doing an hour check in with my friends, I am doing it for the experience but in the end I will post a picture of my eyes and you could probably tell I wasn't lying.

And yeah you're probably right but I don't really feel it's that important to do that I'll just see how long I'll last I'm honestly used to staying up and it doesn't bother me so i wanted to try this.

Do some cursory googling and you'll find loads of fuckers that dropped dead from exhaustion after doing drugs to keep it going and being in shit physical shape to begin with.

You can't just load up on coffee and do it, you have to be very healthy and likely need a couple watchers present both to make sure you stay awake and to confirm the record.

caffeine will hurt you in the long run, after 12 hours you start withdrawal and crash. Taking more will cause another boost followed by a stronger crash.

I know this unhealthy I'm not trying to say it isn't I also know it's a stupid idea but it's something I want to do and I just wanted to share what happenes from here till 11 more days I also know caffeine just makes it worse but I'm sticking with it but I do thank everyone who cares.

you need to have at least 2 others there watching you if this going to count for anything b/c I can tell you personally from exp you WILL start hallucinating after only like the 4th-5th day and will lose track b/c I've done this up to about 4 1/2 days and you most definitely forget what going on around you and is even possible to sleep or take micro naps with your eyes open and even partially awake and not even know it because at that point you wont be able to tell if your awake unless others are there with you. which will defeat what your trying to do here.

I stop after that 4 1/2 day mark because 1 I was tired or my brain was making em think I was exhausted and I felt like moody shit and 2. I started to see fuking shadow people hallucinations in my peripheral vision which freaked me the hell out. I couldn't tell what was real at that point b/c the last of sleep. Thats just my personal experience and will most likely never try it again b/c fuk shadow people and I like sleep.

I went 40 easy this week and only went to bed because I knew I had to drive the next day.
It actually gets easier for me to stay up after about 24 hours
