Long term future for Bitcoin is still okay user. As long as BTC doesn't get killed by a thousand forks it will appreciate when it hits the 21m cap which is a few years ahead.

That said, BTC is probably still a decent long term hold (notwithstanding the insane FUD spread on Veeky Forums in the last few days). Wouldn't expect to make it back over $10k for another year or two, however. Probably down to $6k, back to $8k, then essentially sidways for a long while.
