old russian for me, thanks

Dirty vodka martini, garnished with blue cheese stuffed olives preferably.

god bless smirnoff, for their marketing reps or whoever gave us the Moscow Mule

Negroni's are great, and trying out different gin's and vermouth's is always fun.

>'s

Manhattan

Manhattan is good.
I also like an old fashioned but sometimes they add a little bit too much sugar.

I'm tired ;_;

Pic related, but only one bar in town makes them. Anywhere else I'll go with a Greyhound. If I'm poor, 7&7.

I don't understand the point of an old fashioned. How is it better than just plain whiskey unless you're trying to dress up bottom shelf junk.

I like the aviation, anything with egg white, anything using mezcal

>unless you're trying to dress
isn't that the point? I doubt americans have always been able to afford good stuff

Rusty nail, each and every.

>in before some cunt posts McChicken

>an almost double old-fashioned glass fully loaded of sazerac
good luck with that...

Because you're supposed to use Brandy.

Good old martini. Whiskey sours are nice too, and nothing beats a gin and tonic on a hot summer day.

This. Fortunately, they're easy to make at home.

Last Word

A good basil bourbon smash is the perfect drink, citrus and floral/herbal flavors in a cocktail win me over so fast

for me it's The Nascar

budlight and redbull

If you really want to impress your bartender order a Toronto.

2 oz Rye (Bulleit works nicely)
1/4 oz Fernet
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
2 dashes Ango Bitters

Served straight up or on the rocks.

if you want to impress your bartender, know your order, tip, and don't get wasted.

0% chance your bartender gives a fuck about your starbuxaroonie special snowflake I-bet-nobody-orders-this cocktails

don't much know about fernet, I guess.

>"woa he ordered a drink made of ingredients I have right here in the bar"

said no bartender, ever.

haha clueless.

Great comeback, you sure told him

scotch and soda with a twist is my goto, everyone looks at me like I'm a grandpa but IDGAF, so refreshing and nice.

gimlet is my follow up and then a Cape Codder, Im pretty basic

Martinez

>Two parts full-flavored(non-dry) gin
Most bars tend to have Hendricks. This works fine. Junipero makes a brown gin that was fantastic for it.
>One part sweet vermouth
>Dash of Maraschino cherry liqueur
>two dashes aromatic bitters
Orange bitters are a good choice
>add all ingredients over ice and STIR. DO NOT SHAKE.
It is important for this drink to have a smooth texture. Shaking it aerates the drink and makes it taste dry. This is a Martinez, not a martini.

Serve in coup glass with orange twist.

>Olives stuffed with blue cheese
Dirty Martini is my 2nd fav drink and never thought of this. Will try.
Love me an old-fashioned with Bullet or Makers.

Russian imigrants did. They wamted to make Vodka more palitable to Americans.

u wot m8

Can confirm, we don't care

>unless you're trying to dress up bottom shelf junk.
Cocktails got popular during the American prohibition, AKA the bathtub gin era.

eheheheheheheheheheh. Ever heard of Jerry Thomas?

Fernet should be drunk neat, with ice, after a meal.

many variations exist for this cocktail wich, as Byron stated, is just a gin manhattan variation; starting from the quality of sweet vermouth and balance between gin and vermouth.
wich vermouth do you use?

Root of all evil for me:

Not the most well know Cocktail, but a really nice one.

Sounds nice, I'll try it out

sounds like you're going to really low end shitholes. every bar i go to has at least 1 drink on their menu containing fernet. most restaurants around here give you free fernet at the end if you order alot of food.

shit this was meant for

Cocktails I've gotten recently:

- gin martini straight up with olives
- moscow mule
- manhattan
- black russian
- caipirinha
- pisco sour

When I was a kid me and my friend would always drink screwdrivers in her room. Her mom thought we were just really into orange juice.

>pisco sour

I was just in Peru and had these all the time
So good

I don't get people who have no vermouth in their martini. Just order a glass of gin/vodka next time and bring your own olive if you really want it.

Red wine and Coke/Dr Peper

Don't knock it til you've tried it

After recovering from a stomach ulcer I've hardly touched alcohol, but I still can't resist a good Negroni every now and then.

Seems gross but i'll try it. I feel like it'd be good with a sweet red like a Lambrusco.

I wouldn't call Kalimotxo a cocktail, it's the standard Euro prelash bevvy of choice

Im knocking it. Gross.

More like Niggeroni m i rite

Hardly my favorite, but I've had a Grasshoper a couple times after dinner. Pretty nice.

Makes me want to watch Bartender again.

What's Bartender? I can't seem to find one that matches

I'm a basic bitch who enjoys well made whiskey sours

it's an anime about a magical bartender who solves people's problems by mixing them the perfect drink. really comfy.

meant for

>Gin and Tonic
>Negroni (Original and Sbagliato)
>Dark and Stormy
>Ramos Gin Fizz
>Sazerac
>Daiquiri (Double rum half sugar)
>Old Fashioned
>Pimms Cup
>Moit' Moit'
>Grog

My ranking of my favourites

cheers

Old Fashioned, hands down

Made with sugar and without cherry garnish

sounds tasty but also sounds like thot juice

I'm most certainly a White Russian man myself, but it's surprisingly easy to fuck it up and only a couple bars in my town actually do it well so I rarely get to indulge.

AKA The Frank

Papa Franku???

Old Fashioned
Whiskey Sour
Moscow Mule (if the weather is warm)
White Russian

Evan Williams Bourbon, poured over an entire glass of ice.

Fill till glass is full.

Drink over the course of 30-45 minutes.

Hate that you no longer find joy in day to day activities.
>Pour another
>another
Wake up at 3pm the next day
>What the fuck did I do yesterday?
>Where'd all my bourbon go?

Confirm. I'm a bartender. If you want to impress your bartender order a beer and a whiskey neat and tip well. I don't give a fuck your nobody has heard it before cocktail when I'm full bar deep.

Good thing it's you should fucking impress me if you want a tip.

time for tip argument it's been awhile lads!!!

>tipping

Sleepy Hollow

Sounds good, I'll keep an eye out for it

Tom Collins for me, thanks.

Any martini drinkers here like Gibsons? I've found that the onion agrees with me better than the olive.

>not tipping

PiƱa colada master race.

...and getting caught in the rain...
