What is the most perfect food and why is it the egg?

The egg is king. It's the perfect food. Prove me wrong

>12 for less than $2.00
>Super healthy
>Loaded with vitamins and minerals
>Versatile
>Doesn't need to be refrigerated
>Beautiful

tastes like shit unless you literally drench it in Tabasco. Eggs are shit tier.

how to spot someone who consumes fast food regularly
Your palate is fucked, mate. My condolences.

Haven't had fast food in six years

a little salt and pep, maybe a pinch of cheese, makes it great

I'm going to have to say salmon
Name one thing wrong with it without saying mercury

price

also i couldn't eat it everyday for a month without hating myself. i would want to vomit eventually

>Not fishing salmon for yourself
ew

Almost, but potatoes take the prize

do you know how hard it is to catch salmon where i'm from? it isn't feasible. striper, fluke, bluefish, bass, catfish but no salmon. salmon isn't even as good as those other ones anyway except maybe bluefish

>less than $2.00
What shithole do you live in OP?
A dozen eggs is $0.78

Who the fuck doesn't refrigerate eggs?

>egg: 50 calories
>cooked egg: 54 calories

explain this eggfags

Even better dingle berry

you usually add oil or butter to a pan when you fry it

Why not both?

well you see, a calorie is a unit of heat energy, so when you cook an egg, some of that energy goes into the shell but can't go out because its trapped in the egg meat

Cooking increases bioavailability
That's sort of the entire point

Apparently everyone except the U.S., Australia and Japan

Either them or Bread&Butter

Upside down land does refrigerate eggs

You'd better run, egg!

If you're referring to Aus. Most people will refrigerate them at home, but at the supermarket/grocery they're kept in the open. I don't think it has a huge impact on shelf life either way.

not a fan

>mercury

Salmon has one of the lowest mercury contents of any fish. That shouldn't even be an argument to begin with.

Eggs have really high fat content compared to most other protein.

Because OP asked to be proven wrong. Potatoes are the only food that you can last solely on for years until you die of molybdenum deficiency or someshit. Eggs don't come close

which is bad because...?

It makes them a poor choice for a primary protein, in order to meet daily protein needs you end up consuming too many calories from fat.

> protein needs

>he doesn't get at least 100g of protein daily

not gonna make it

not everyone is from Veeky Forums

>tfw my local budget grocery store sells 18 egg cartons for $1.20 and they still have almost 2 weeks of expiration left

Feels good man

Why do organic eggs taste so much worse than usual eggs?

Is it the food they chickens get?

>when you have chickens and get fresh aggs

Is alright I guess

Would be nice if the chickens didn't shit all over the place

That's known as "gold" in the vegetable growing realm.

Eggs are exploding with flavor, something is wrong there bud.

I guess I get the expensive cage free fruit bowl brown eggs, they are $3.25 per dozen.

>cholesterol, fat, and methionine spheres

>healthy

Loads of other delicious heavy metals and PCBs with a nice touch of cholesterol

This. Potatoes are absurdly high in micros and is a complete protein, surprisingly. You could live indefinitely on mashed potatoes topped with green peas, which is delicious by the way.

Duck eggs, user, duck eggs.

kek no way dude

probably the soy bean
great spread of protein, fat, and carbohydrates, as well as fiber

They're not very filling.

Good goy.

Those things are massive. Perfect for omlettes.

>eggs of all thing not filling

That would only apply if your diet consisted of spoonfuls of butter.

0g of fiber

Poor wretch.

Should I buy eggs at aldis 12 for 99 cents?

what size are they?

A local large supermarket near me had a sale on a 30 pack of eggs for $1.79 last week

Do rats lay eggs ?

It's not too bad, I have 8 birds and it isn't really an issue.

We must live nearby. Ever since I started buying the 18 egg carton I never realized how useful eggs could be.

>just cooked 6 hard boiled eggs for snacks over the weekend
>eat 2 eggs a morning for breakfast
>egg salad is easy and cheap af to make

>smell like shit
>don't really taste good
>have a bad to awful texture
>loaded with cholesterol and fat

There are cons to eggs.

>subjective
>subjective
>subjective
>stupid

later

It's perfect, but sadly I get sick of eating more than one big omelette once a week.

>little bitch who loves sucking eggs

Disregarded

So are eggs good or bad for the average person?

Do you not salt them or something?

This thread is amazing
