How do I get access to those background check/ employment history/ credit reports that employers use during hiring?

It seems like all these companies are in love with me until they run a background check, but then they break off all contact and I can't figure out why. I haven't committed any crimes or anything. How do I find what's turning them off and fix it?

Also I should add that these are white collar mechanical engineering and software development jobs.

bump

I know Veeky Forums is mostly pajeets, but anyone?

What is it you've done in the past that would flag your background check? Come clean.

Bump. I would like to know too. I had the same experience when I interviewed at Venmo last year, and I have an interview at Gemini this week, so I would like to check.

I honestly don't know. Shitposting on Veeky Forums is about as edgy as it gets. Are they reading my posts here?

i use backgroundreport.com to check tennents

In those fields they use some pretty shady background checking companies that basically buy your stolen information (internet search history) and keep transcripts on file. It's extremely grey area and will probably be made illegal. They probably saw your search history user...

How do I get those?

Thanks!

I work in HR user. We do:

DBS (criminal record) check
CIFAS check (fraud database)
Credit check
FCA check
HM treasury check
Disqualified Directorship check

depending on the level of your role we would also do internet searches too. And do not listen to bellends like who know fuck all about HR processes.

ask me anything

So internet searches i did 5 years ago would be checked?

You might have shit credit even if you haven't done anything illegal, check credit karma

isn't there a government site you are meant to use to check credit scores not some over advertised pos site?

We check out their facebook page and dont hire people if they look weird.

pretty sure they mean they do internet searches of the person, not that they check their internet search history. how would that even work? a shared household would have no way of differentiating who searched what.

How much does it cost to check those?

What sort of non-criminal things would make you disqualify a cabdidate and why?

Are you really reading my internet searches and Veeky Forums posts?

I stopped using facebook a few years ago and defriended everyone. Would you really not hire me over that? What purpose does that serve? Honestly curious.

Id check your insta but its harder to find the person on there.

Just an insight into personality, whats their life like, what type of posts do they make, what are their interests.

You wouldnt be not hired simply for not being on facebook but having no online presence at all would be a bit of a red flag. My first thought would be your hiding something.

Its the service industry so we want to employ normies, we want facebooks with pictures of happy families and fun nights out etc, not tons of weird selfies and quotes about 'staying strong' etc.

I've never used facebook. Rule 1 after aol dial-up days was never post real-life info.. then suddenly it became mainstream to give it up? I was wtf...

I understand but you have to see it from a business point of view also.

If they have multiple people wanting a position then a quick check of social media gives them a head start into making a decision.

A strong resume would over ride it social media and get you an interview no doubt, but at the same time it depends on the position your going for. If its a wagecuck type job or a more advanced position.

Use truthfinder.com that's the best background report service
