What do you think about Applebees?

What do you think about Applebees?

Applebees is shit. I wish they would find something they are good at and stick with it instead of trying to have a little bit of everything on their menu. Never had anything there that i thought was tasty and i have never left thinking i am coming back for that.

I enjoy the happy hour boneless wings and coronaritas

From your statement, mediocrity should not be labelled shit.
Golden Corral is shit.

I hate when my GF bitches when I open carry when we are in there.

I hate shills that come from Applebees.

t. (You)

Is your gf Taylor Swift?

Their fries and burgers are really good.

You mean Crapplebee's? Eh, it's okay.

i like applebees. its a nice place to take your family if you are sick of going to buffets with screaming children, loud niggers and fat people in scooters.

>Veeky Forums likes applebees
>Veeky Forums hates olive garden

Olive Garbage is all just cheap ingredients and pasta. They don't cook anything. Their pasta is literally the cheap 50 cent instant ramen type. All from China. Meats from Applebees are all cooked to order.

i would go anywhere as long as it isnt outback steakhouse. hell, i would do golden corral before that. that being said, i go to maybe one of these chain places about 3 times a year at most.

>all from china

lol that's a ruse right

Olive garden is pretty comfy imo and yeah their food isn't great but Applebees is literally microwave tier. The only thing they have going for them is variety, but they are as if Stoffer's made a chain restaurant.

My dad (and thus the family) refuses to go to Outback steakhouse after they fucked up one of his steak orders, which was like 20 years ago. Fucking boomers.

Not really. They buy the cheapest pasta in bulk from wherever because the Olive Garbage supplier contracts cheap pasta to be imported. I guess the real question is whether you believe that pasta to be from the USA (it's not) or the EU (again too expensive). It's all from 3rd country shitholes including China. Same way that China is one of the biggest suppliers of fish to the US. You have no idea how many fish products are Chinese. Olive Garbage is one of the five chain restaurants owned by that corporation that cuts corners on everything. That's why if one of the chains has a bad quarter, it doesn't suffer because the othet chains will presumably perform better.

Surprisingly, Mcdonalds does good on its filet o fish which are cheap Alaskan fish meats.

I mean I like their 4 cheese mac when they don't decide to give me what's at the bottom of the barrel

>Olive garden is pretty comfy imo and yeah their food isn't great but Applebees is literally microwave tier.

Applebees actually does a lot of its cooking by hand. I would know. Their wings are hand tossed in sauce per order. So if you order wings with a type of sauce, they cook the wings, then toss them in the sauce and on occassion they will then broil it for a bit depending on the chef. Steaks and porkchops and all other meats like chicken or burgers are cooked on the grill.

Mashed potatoes and vegetables are prepped and portioned before each shift and then cooked per meal as required. This is what I've seen atleast.

About Olive Garden
>Olive Garden is a "boil in bag" restaurant. All of their food (aside from salad and breadsticks) is shipped to each restaurant frozen in plastic bags that are dropped in boiling water

>Literally, almost everything is frozen. The only things that arent are vegetables, that's about it. we thaw it out and make little packs of things that go into a dish. Ex. Chicken Flatbread. A small baggie that has the chicken, peppers, and seasoning.

Kek

Still, went there two times, and each time it sucked... never again.

All the same. The point is that the food is cooked and made per order.

What did you get or what didn't you like about it?

They have pretty good happy hour deals, and specials throughout the week. 2 for 20, 2 entrees that includes appetizer or two salads. Burger tuesdays, pasta wednesdays iirc, and a special on the appertizers.

Haven't been there since I was 9, now I have over $100 in applebees gift cards. What should I get?

drunk

Ya. The chef is really good cooker.

this and get the appetizer sampler.

LITERALLY the only reason for going there is the half-priced appetizers with your friends after 9:30PM

The boneless wings are good

That's it

Applebees doesn't pretend to be something they're not.

Their gift cards don't apply to alcohol. I'm not shitting you, the kikes that run that god-awful establishment have done everything to make the place progressively worse since the mid 2000's and there's no end in sight.

huh. I just have fond memories of Olive Garden but they do see like a sit down version of a pizza chain. The only good thing they had on their menu was the veal canaloni before they removed it, which came with white sauce and tomato sauce, and you use their breadsticks to sop up the left overs. Their soup is ok.

I think I've been to applebees twice in my life and it was always unimpressive but no more or less than say chilis or tgifridays. They're all places to get a plate of brown and a glass of yellow imo

The best part about Olive Garden is that they've successfully marketed themselves to middle America as "cuisine", making it easier to jew people out of their money in exchange for easy prep.

Honestly, I like how they've handled themselves in the past fews years, but I wouldn't take my date there.

Anytime I'm meeting someone there I only order drinks

I don't mind Applebee's but I wouldn't elect to go there if it wasn't Happy Hour

Between Applebees, Chilis, Ruby Tuesdays, and TGI Fridays, I prefer Applebees the most. It's also the one I go to the least, oddly enough. Just doesn't seem to be a lot of them in my area.

2 for 20 or 2 for 27

Comes with two entrees and an appetizer or two entrees and two salads

Or go for the BOGO deal, buy one get one free.

They get their lamb fron Denmark I think? Last I knew the lamb was from Denmark, I thought that was strange but maybe Denmark produces enough lamb to contract all the Applebees but not enough to compete with Australian/New Zealand lamb which is seen as the must buy of lamb choice meat.

Pretty much. It's a restaurant. A "neighborhood bar and grill" so is said.

Because people are retarded. The food there has always sucked everytime I've gone, but you walk in and it had the ambiance of being fancier than what it really is which is basically Mcdonald's with pseudo Italian food choices instead. You get caught up and sidetracked by the beige colors and soft yellow lighting enough to believe it's classy. Then you get all this free salad and breadsticks and you start believing the place is great. Then you get your shitty entree which tastes like garbage but the salad, breadsticks, and quasi fancy ambiance suckered your judgement.

They have certainly designed the place incredibly well enough to make guests forget they are eating horrible microwaved food and overcooked chinese pasta. What Olive Garbage is actually selling isn't food, they are renting tables to people to sit at and spend time in.

Used to love their chicken tenders and rib tips. Good fries, too.

Now it's garbage.

The fries are still good.
I usually just get a burger but I should try their other stuff. Had the quesidilla burger the other day, it was really good for being a weird combo, try it.
