The biscuits mentioned are close enough to dinner rolls to make a comparison. A non-sweet bread lump that is awful as a dessert, and shouldn't be soaked in milk if you're sane.

A spicy pinkish sausage gravy I make using equal parts hot pork breakfast sausage and mex chorizo. Lots of black pepper and a smidge of korean fermented hot bean paste. Served over flaky buttermilk biscuits.

I make mine with bacon instead of sausage

There is a restaurant by me that sells containers of filtered bacon grease that I have used for cooking applications. And it makes sausage gravy awesome.
