So the local grocery store charges obscene prices for spices so I usually goto the Asian super market. Couldn't find the specific spices I needed separate so I bought this since it had about half of what I needed, since it was still 5 times cheaper than the regular super market.
I've been able to figure out all the extra things except for this nut looking spice with a stem? What is it?

that's not cardamon.
Cardamon is greenish, smaller and doesn't have deep grooves, it also splits in two when you pinch it.
Could it be nutmeg before the husk is removed?
There is cardamon in the bag but thats not it.
So I know in the bag there is

There's green cardamom and black cardamom (pic related).
That thing on the bottom right looks like black cardamom.
I tried grating it and it definitely wasn't nutmeg. It smelled closest to the cardamom, so I think you're right. I was using it all for mulled wine so in the end it turned out fine to use it, but its good to know what it was for the future.
