Not by fees, because he used an insane leverage that basically requires your position to go in the direction you want right away. Now he's screaming scam because the price dropped lower on bitmex than on other exchanges which (ignoring the fact that prices are usually different across exchanges) is a result of their different pricing scheme. Basically, he gambled like you would at a casino, didn't read anything about the system he was using, and got BTFO.
