chili without beans is literally just hot dog topping.

remove the peppers, not because of the taste, but because of the consistency.

This isn't even a Texas thing. I'm born and raised in Texas, go to chilli cook offs every year. Most of our chilli has beans.

The whole "no beans" shit is just posturing and dick waving.

Presidential style: over rice, with shredded cheddar, diced raw white onions, and fresh cilantro/green onions. And of course with beans.

with chopsticks

I tried their Korean Fried Chicken today for the first time. The first few bites were amazing, but it was too salty. I'm going to try their chili next time I go though

Chili con carne is made without beans, by definition.

When chili started to become popularized in the states, eateries would add beans as a cost-cutting measure. "Chili with beans" caught on in most places, and it became the bog standard.

a spoon

Do you?

How is posting "without the beans" any different than "without the beef"? Chili is chili because of the spices/peppers, not the fucking protein.

You realise the beans are protein yeh?

I've won chili cook offs in Texas where beans are strictly prohibited. As in if there is one bean in that pot you are disqualified.

No shit, I don't see how anything I posted would suggest otherwise. The chili should have a protein, but the protein doesn't make the chili.

Sounds like a greasy chili, no thanks.

before or after visiting Wendy's?

So they built a wall around the contest?

I'm Australian so don't have to abide by tradition but I'll eat that shit any way I can.

On tortillas, with couscous if I'm lazy, baked potatoes or with rice (brown).

Butt chugging it.

Interesting. I'm Australian too. Love me a bowl of chili. What base ingredients do you use? Where I am involves a 40 minute drive just to get anchos

Fistful of onion & cheese flavored pringles, or just any kind of nachos, crush them and mix it in.
Then add some grated cheese.

Oh yeah, and some diced avocado, I like how it plays off the spiciness.

The beans are like the entire point you fucking manchild!

Chili is better with both meat and beans than with only one of either, this is a fact, we have reached this conclusion as a society.

I've always wanted to fill a wrapped tortilla with chili.

why would you not put beans in chili? extra nutrition

It's Bongs and Australians who've never seen chili in their lives who are just memeing when you see posts criticizing beans in chili.
