Hey al/ck/s. I have three questions for you guys due to some recent reading on caloric absorption:
>What is your drink of choice?
>Do you smoke cigarettes?
>Are you overweight?

Yes
Yes
Spiking in insulin leading to excess fat storage. Cigarettes slow gastric emptying/alcohol absorption and, therefore, insulin spike?
Water/Coffee
No
Morbidly
Your /hard/ drink of choice?
how are you even supposed to be an alcoholic and not be overweight
like vodka is basically 2 calories a gram
If you drink a fifth of vodka that's basically 1500cals - more if you mix it
do alcoholics just eat nothing?
Water
No
BMI calculator says I'm overweight kek
Water always, alcohol occasionally
Nah, 10 years ago sure.
Overweight if based on BMI, shredded sub 10% bf sick cunt otherwise.
We should just drop the whole BMI shit.
Whisky
Yes
No
Water
Rarely
Morbidly
I'm not the person to explain it, but alcohol calories work differently. I was told that your body burns them first and foremost, but I think that there is more to it than that.
I am on a calorie cutting diet, and I lose weight while getting hammered on "clear" alcoholic beverages. Off and on for 3 years. It's weird; the calories of the clear alcohol don't seem to matter.
Drug and alcohol councelor told me that, yes, a person can actually survive on alcohol alone... just not for very long.
TL:DR
sugar alcohols differ from other sugars in the way they work/metabolize.
Rum or Vodka mixed w/ diet soda

No im pretty jacked and strong

Black coffee is my poison.

No, I smoke a pipe. I'm not trying to be autistic - my grandfather smoked a pipe when he used to take me fishing and I do it to remember these times. And probably tobacco addiction.

Tell us what you're looking for, you mong.
A person doesn't even need food or water or oxygen or a heart to survive... just not for very long.
>"clear" alcoholic beverages
There is no difference in the way your body metabolizes a shot of vodka and a shot of whiskey.
>diet coke
>overweight
Every fucking time.
I don't know a single skinny person who drinks diet drinks.

It's a confirmation bias, why would you subject yourself to the horrors of fake sugar taste unless you were trying to lose weight
>Beer or wine. Sometimes homemade booze from a farm my dad knows
>Yes lucky strikes and rollies
>No. 60 kg for 176 cm
R u me
>It's a confirmation bias
There's no doubt that my personal anecdotal experience is confirmation bias. I'm aware of that.
However, it's worth noting that there are many studies that show strong correlational evidence between diet drinks and obesity.
jamanetwork.com
nature.com
Again, I know it's correlational, so there's certainly an interesting thing going on here.
I don't think that diet drinks inherently cause obesity in any significant way, but I do think that the type of person who would drink a diet soda has other habits and tendencies that cause obesity.
You have no fucking clue what you are talking about.
