Pizza oven

I was gifted this for Xmas by my sister, does it have any use beyond pizza or do I have a gigantic single use appliance now?

Your sister is kind of an asshole.

Dude clean your fucking burners...holy shit.

could do open faced sandwiches in it

get rid of your electric range

Sometimes I think she has more money than sense

Maybe when I move out of this apartment

It is technically a broiler yea..?

He probably lives in an apartment with no gas fixtures.

Stop asking us and make a pizza you fucking faggot.

I bought one of these some time ago. I was poor and lived in a tiny rented apartment with no oven so that was the more affordable bootleg version of the oven i had no room nor money for.

You can cook pretty much anything that fits in it. I've cooked meat and fish in mine. My last endeavour was oven baked sweet potato, and it turned out pretty nicely.

You could use it to bake pita bread.

Salt crusted fish. Crispy pork belly. Shepherds pie. Its essentially an oven.

i use mine to melt the 3d printed shit my step dad sends me. fucking hate him.

I made one last night, it was only decent.

When did mommy buy you a pizza oven? Did you really enjoy home ec last year?

I like the cut of your jib.

kek

sounds like he is trying... Jealous that he is trying to be the father you never had?

looks pretty gud

>Hon? You okay?
>Yeah, it's just...I try so hard, you know? I try to reach the kid, to help him be the man I know he can be one day, and he'd just rather talk about McChickens on that damned computer all day.

You're a fucking monster.

It looks undercooked and that tomato paste looks god awful

The sauce was pretty bad.

It looks like a packet pizza but the shape makes me doubt it

It was a dough mix that I added water and yeast to, and the sauce was in a jar. Had to hand spread the dough on parchment paper though, my sister forgot to get us anything for making pizza beyond the oven and dough.

It was a pretty average pizza, nothing really special about it.

Crackers

Why use a dough mix? Its just floir oil water and yeast.

Dont spread onto parchment either, spread by hand om a floired bench. Nothing wromg with canned sauce, even though i try and do as much as i can myself (lots of home grown and made stuff) tomato paste from a package is the best, just get decent stuff (small packs for 70 cents or so)

It was part of the Xmas gift. Maybe I'll take a crack at my own pizza dough but I really don't see myself using the thing often at all

Just change your diet if you must, pizza every few weeks is good, although if you have an oven this thing is useless

the amount of money you will spend on making your own pizza will be just as much as buying a premade one at the grocery store.

sell that useless appliance asap

The pizza oven in the op is on top of my regular oven :^)

>if it can't microwave my totinos it's useless
never change Veeky Forums

comparing pizza to trash food.
if you cook in a microwave just fucking die

how about flatbread with cheese and toppings

I always just buy those boboli pizza crusts

Return that piece of shit. Does she honestly expect you to make tiny personal pizzas in a giant space-wasting appliance? What a dumb ass item that is, she probably saw it on sale at Kohl's or some shit

If it's his stove, then he could at least get a higher quality electric stove, or an induction stove. If it's an apartment and it's not his stove, then yeah he's pretty much SOL.

It's an apartment my lad

Looking it up, it seems to be able to get pretty hot. Hotter than your oven i presume (cheap ovens don't usually go over 500).
One main thing people lack to make good pizza at home is the heat, which means that POS pizza oven might actually be handy if you want to try making good homemade pizza.

But id never buy it myself

This guy is right. My parents have a similar pizza oven, you have to crank it up to max temp, let it heat for like 15 minutes, and bake the pizza directly on the stone bottom. It comes out way better than regular oven pizza.

>He melted his 3D printed guns
You will regret your actions when 1776 commences

Rustic bread, bagels, anything else you need a stone and extremely hot oven for

You have a gigantic single-use piece of crap appliance, is your sister the slow one of the family or something?

Dude, those are so fucking nasty. Dough is a pleasure to make, it's the reason I enjoy making pizza. Then there's a ton left over to do all kids of stuff with. Everyone should know how to make (at least) a basic pizza dough, since it has so many uses.

plz tell me how to make a basic pizza dough user

This is true. You want something to hold the heat. My understanding is that the latest trend is "pizza steels" which is like a pizza stone except it's a big ass piece of metal (more mass).
Pro tip:
Some ovens have a cleaning mode that will take it past 500, but most ovens have a safety switch in the door to lock it shut, so you can't cook in clean mode, but if you jam some foil in there, you can keep the door from locking.
My dad and I are both really into pizza, but have shitty electric ovens. He gets really good results, the man is a wizard I swear!

This is the basic recipe. it's still good if you don't have '00' available. I use whatever I have, pretty much try a new flour every time I make it.

>grams filtered water
>water measured in grams
>filtered water
Stopped reading right there

Fuck yah man broccoli on pizza is the best ingredient nobody uses.

The secret is something only those who have lived a shit life can truly learn.
Your dad might have been homeless or worked 2 jobs with only 2 hours of sleep inbetween them at some point.

Looks like the quesadilla maker I got from a cake swap.

This is an excellent recipe. One thing I do is use all '00' and my sourdough starter instead of the dry yeast. I also leave it at room temp for 3 hours before it goes in the refrigerator because the sourdough takes longer to get going.

But exactly as written, this makes a great pizza dough.

>scared of grams and filtered water

Not who posted, but why? Because you're retarded?

He clearly is. any baking recipe ought to be specified by weight. And in the case of water, it has a density of "1", so its volume in mL is the same as its weight in grams.

I think he has a sourdough starter going now. I'll suggest this to him, thank you user!
