You can watch Leonardo DiCaprio’s documentary on climate change for free on Youtube.
Before the Flood
>Leonardo DiCaprio’s documentary
Not into gay porn, but thanks anyway.
It's a documentary, obviously there is a chance it will be "free"
God bless adblocks though
>Increase carbon tax and decrease payroll taxes
lol wow
Why does no one ever suggest earmarking the taxes already levied on oil companies towards renewable energy research? Why is always this retarded idea of killing the engine you need to fuel your innovation to innovate? Politicians and Celebrities who think they know science need to be gassed.
It's nice that awareness is happening but nothing will happen because of it. Maybe people will recycle some stuff (that isn't even recycled unless it's profitable), but overall what's that going to change besides people feeling better about themselves?
> Why does no one ever suggest earmarking the taxes already levied on oil companies towards renewable energy research?
To devote any significant funding towards the notion that the climate is changing or that cheap oil is running out is to admit that such things are happening.
It's much easier to send troops to secure a puppet government over the world's 2nd biggest oil reserve.
Russia (then the USSR) tried in 1980 and failed. Now they're trying the puppet regime method in Syria.
Once the wheel starts turning in Washington, it's hard to change course.
As a Chemical Engineering researcher I couldn't agree with you more. Nearly all our green tech funding comes from petro companies. Public grants are not even >10%, if it wasn't for private we'd have zero equipment.
>for free
Not really, there is a price to pay for being subjected to propaganda. Digest enough of that meme and next thing you know you are handing all of your carbon molecules over to some totalitarian technocratic "green" "renewable" dictatorship in return for being "saved". They will engorge themselves like any parasite and probably kill their host in the end. They will not prove any better to finding a solution to abundant energy than individuals, in fact group think is dangerous as history has proven so many times before.
>propaganda
Even if you think that global warming isn't happening what do you have to lose by supporting the transition to renewable energy?
Don't you want to stop paying for gas and get free electricity?
