Hey Veeky Forums, what's your favorite kind of bean?

Hey Veeky Forums, what's your favorite kind of bean?

Do you soak them before cooking?

i usually make adzuki beans, just boil for an hour no soak needed

also like to cook dry mung beans together with brown rice in rice cooker

>Hey Veeky Forums, what's your favorite kind of bean?
Technically, peanuts. Colloquially lima beans.
>Do you soak them before cooking?
Yes.

I'm planning on doing some roasted beans here soon with those giant white ones.

There is some company (Rancho Gordo I think?) that sells heirloom beans, but they look kind of expensive.

Do Chick Peas count?

Yeah! They are really great in so many forms. Wonderful roasted and spiced, in soups, or as hummus!

My favorite use is when I'm feeling lazy. Chop some onion, fry it with some ground beef and chick peas. Dinner in under 5 minutes.

Pic related.

I could literally eat these tasty fuckers every day for the rest of my life and not get sick of them.

And yes, I do soak them.

They're pulses, but lentils. Super versitile, super high in fiber, and super yummy. Super.

I REALLY like the humble green bean the most.

Ful medames
They are tinned broad beans that people in the middle east eat for breakfast

Edamame.
Buy them frozen, peeled, no soak needed.
Roast in the oven with salt, oil, Parmesan and seasonings.

Lesbians

moong or urad though urad was an acquired taste since it becomes mucousy if cooked right.
Yes

what is it with westerners and cheese? they add it to every fucking thing they put into their pie holes.

You don't see an asian add durian to every dish they eat

verdina asturiana

i like smaller better in general

I'm not fucking Asian, and Parmesan is an awesome pairing with roasted edamame. Its more like toasted nuts than beans. Its a surface flavoring only, its not gooey gobs of cheese like pizza or Velveeta sauce. Does that picture look like excessive cheese to you? China needs a better firewall, to keep you Asian faggots contained.

>Hey Veeky Forums, what's your favorite kind of bean?
So many to choose. If forced, either dry chickpeas, dry lentils or fresh (green) broadbeans.

>Do you soak them before cooking?
Only chickpeas. I don't soak any other kind of bean.

>favorite kind of bean
Khala channa (black chickpeas) or orca beans probably. If we're including lentils then both de Puy lentils and beluga lentils would be high on the list

>do you soak them
Only if I know I'm going to be pressed for time.

Get ready, China is going to attack the West. They have been gearing up for it.

Good, I wouldn't mind a nice game of chink plinking.

What do beans taste like?

>Hey Veeky Forums, what's your favorite kind of bean?
Red kidney beans
>Do you soak them before cooking?
Yes
