Will hair grow back if it is literally pulled out?
Will hair grow back if it is literally pulled out?
Pulled out of what
your head
Why would you keep it there
i didn't know i had a choice
Im actually really interested in this also, I compulsively pull out my hair when studying really hard and it is making me start to bald pretty crazily.
Curious if it will grow back in since it is technically not me balding per say?
Ask someone who waxes.
Then why were you pulling it out?
Trichotillomania is a serious condition alongside trichophagia. Go see a psych about your problems.
Even though the hair grows back, its not a solution.
I enjoy ripping the hairs out of my nostrils that grow past the brim. Satisfyingly painful, but I once got an ingrown hair inside my nose from doing it.
if it didnt I wouldnt be getting waxed every 4 weeks mate
Yes. I have a strange habit where I pull out hairs that feel thicker or rougher than the others. I do it hundreds of times a day. I'm doing it right now.
It would be extremely painful.
Yes, when I'm stressed or anxious and I have a free hand I often subconsciously start twirling up the hair on the back of my head into loops. After a while it starts to feel brittle and fall out a few hairs at a time, to the point that I get small bald spots - but if I stop and leave it a few weeks the hair recovers and there's no trace of having done it, and I've been doing this since I've had hair.
Had some tough assignments lately though, so I'm on the bald spot stage right now :/
Yes, of course. Hair falls out all the time. IF its pulled out a new hair just gets generated. That being said after a number of times, the follicle will become damaged to the point the hair will stop growing. I have been plucking my ankle hairs for almost 5 years straight (dont know why, love doing it feels satisfying) and no hair grows on my ankles anymore. I also yank out ballsack hair, fuck that feels good
this is why I have buzzcut
you are gonna be deaff forever
Yes, I can eventually get rid of this unibrow!
Listen up anons, what you're doing is basically passive, low level self destruction, that can become the cause of many serious health issues. I know this because I too used to pull my hair out, and to some minuscule extent I still do(though to a far less intense extent), but I'm here to tell you something. Especially You are destroying a vital part of your overall physical well being.
I repeat.
You are destroying yourself.
I have been struggling with this condition for a long time, and oh yes it has a name btw, I do not want to look it up though, because it truly is an evil thing that adds up to horrible shit happening. I have been struggling with injury to parts of my body that would be fine if I had just found another way of dissipating stress and suffering. So I'm here to tell you all now, I'm here to tell you what was not known to me, and that is a WARNING OF CONSEQUENCES. Cease these nervous tendencies or you will face a long and grueling battle with infirmity. Please, do whatever it takes. Turn this poisonous tide before you drown.
Hair is for stroking, not for pulling. That's a no-no.
>pull out hair
>see if it grows back
there is your answer
i do this to the point where I cry and sneeze and it usually gets me distracted
just yesterday i had blood spilling out of my nose because of this somehow i really need to stop
same with biting my fingers to the point where im bleeding out of every finger
god its disgusting kill me
Yes it will grow back. Hair is extracellular and grows on the outside of the skin within the follicle. Pulling your hair out only removes nonliving material. The follicle itself is mostly undamaged.
However if you pull out your hair repeatedly it can compound the damage and lead to the follicles dying. The more violently hair is remove the more likely this will happen. If your hair is already thinning in the area it will also exacerbate it.
Also, why are you doing that stop it.
I do that with my taint hair. I don't know why it's so satisfying to do so or why it comes out so easily but I'm gonna keep doing anyway.
For thou!
I was talking about this with someone irl the other day, their argument was that if it comes out easily when you pull it, this means you are in the process of balding and it will not grow back.
Their argument was that all balding is, is the strength of the root losining so that it pops out easier.
Is this true? Is it just me pulling out my hair or is it that I am actually balding? I really can't fucking tell. I'm worried. don't want to be bald at 24.
