It is irrefutable there is a mind. Without a mind how can we observe the body. Without a mind how can we observe the world. Without a mind how can we observe the mind. From a purely materialistic viewpoint the question of why are we concious is immediatelly disproven by the assumption that all there is is the material. It is not possible to refute this burning question every single human thinks about and has thought about.

I think the real debate is rove whether the mind is correlated or caused by the body. Can mental processes by explained fully by sending/recieving chemical neuro transmitters or electrical impulses?
