So why does Veeky Forums hate this again?

So why does Veeky Forums hate this again?

Too spicy, no way to actually use it and appreciate the flavor.

because this is better for cooking/as a dipping sauce and if you want to make it into sriracha you just add garlic.

Because morons on the internet love it.

Mix with mayo for prime sushi sauce

because it tastes like shit

I used it in a marinade.
7/10 would sauce.

>steals the flavor of everything on it
>overused by everyone if pre topped
and exists

MAYONNAISE and sushi...

whitey detected

I like the taste and the sweet but it needs more heat

cause it's popular
>Too spicy
nope
>because this is better
yep

Tastes like shit

Must have when eating pho. Tip: when ordering pho, ask for a plate full of sliced onions, drown the onions in sirracha, and use the onions as a side dish to pho. D-FUCKING-LICIOUS.

Works great as a topping on popcorn.

Wut? Do you eat popcorn with a spoon?

You don't drench it, just drizzle some and shake it up well.

I used to like it but then loads of other people started liking it.

Because Veeky Forums hates anything popular.

I think it's ok but not buying it again because it tastes too much like garlic for my taste.

Because someone likes it
This is Veeky Forums after all

Because it's fair to good hot sauce that gets hyped up like it's God's gift to your taste buds, while better hot sauces get ignored because they're not meme sauce.

weasels its way into everything
it's still my favorite thing on eggs tho

Sriracha is a sambal for children.

How do you even live your life?

is it fermented aswell?
I have both at home and I think the taste is not really alike

Because it's a meme to hate it.

It's great because:
>Cheap
>Tastes good
>Comes in a large bottle

That's all you need.
Got some boring/shit rice, bam sriracha.
Got some gas station sushi because you're a lazy cunt, bam sriracha.
Making a toasted sandwich, bam sriracha.

It doesn't have to be the greatest sauce of all time, it just has to make shit food taste good.

Memes aside, I think it's a good sauce with a standard amount of heat. My one criticism would be that it's a little bit one-dimensional.

Do I think it has a place in fine dining or cutting-edge cuisine? No. Does it have a place in the bachelor's fridge for drizzling over the old chicken and rice dish? Yes.

>it just has to make shit food taste good.
this
it's basically ketchup

I agree with you, Sriracha chili sauce is good, but that paste stuff is even better

Because people enjoy it and that makes Veeky Forums angry

Reddit

>gas station sushi
That can't be a thing, right?

It's a thing if you like living on edge.

You never know how long that sushi was sitting in that half-open refrigerator. It's a thing for people who love danger.

It entirely is.
There are entire businesses set up to produce and distribute it to gas stations around the nation.

isn't that already Garlic Chili paste?
that shit with sweet chili sauce and a little sesame oil makes bad ass sauce to toss fried shrimp in.

>going to a pho place
>not using their house made chili sauce

Because it is mostly hipster faggots who only like stuff no one else likes.

Veeky Forums is a hipster who hates popular things.

>chili paste
>not chili garlic paste

What a faggot

>too spicy

>Trusting the Vietnamese to make hot sauce.
The French made them weak.

it's way too sweet, like ketchup

i felt the same but didn't want to reply in case it was bait. Dude probably thinks paprika is spicy enough...

Hahaha as far as hot sauces go this is maybe a 2/10 for spiciness

KFC does a sriracha burger. Would it be good?

Just those three things or anything else? I wanna try this now.

Probably not. Most sriracha sauces are absolute garbage. Huy Fong Foods makes by far the best one. If they don't use it, it's usually pretty awful...

>take garlic chili paste
>add loads of sugar to it
>american hipsters can't stop eating it!

haven't even tried it yet, I enjoy garlic in Tzatziki and stuff, sounds weird to me in any kind of hot sauce

If Japan is going to ruin pizza with mayonnaise, we will ruin sushi with it.

sambal+ketchup makes ketchup great again

I don't. It's pretty good. Just not the best thing ever, and certainly not worth being enshrined as a pop culture touchstone. I usually have a bottle in my fridge, but I don't "put that shit on everything" and I certainly won't be caught wearing a shirt or a hat with the logo on it. That's what pisses me off. The product itself is fine.

Really? Garlic seems like a natural fit for a lot of hot sauces for me. But I grew up in a family where we always had a bottle of this on the table.

whats all in there?

It varies from family to family, but generally has garlic, peppercorns, fresh herbs (cilantro, oregano, and recao are common) hot peppers of any variety, salt, vinegar, and olive oil. You can add lime or pineapple if you wish, to give it a bit of a fruity edge. Put it in an old rum bottle, shake it, and let it sit for a few days before using.
