What is the greatest kind of cheese Veeky Forums?

American.

Gouda and pecorino romano.
Camembert as a second favorite.
Blue cheese maybe, but i didn't really try anything besides gorgonzola, hard to find stilton in italy

Look for Saint Agur if you want to try some good blue cheese.

maasdamer.

...

Personally I'm fond of red leicester

Cheddar, purely for it's ridiculous amounts of versatility.

Duly noted, thank you kind curdleman

thats not how you spell 'fontina and manchego' you fucking communist

also inb4 boursinfags

Goat.

>americans talking about fucking cheese

Spoiler, unless you move to Europe, you will never. eat cheese.

>cheddar, a european cheese
>you must be american
There's more cheddar than just american fake cheeses, user.

My town just got a big Kroger and they have more cheese selections than anywhere else I know.

What do I get? My current favorite cheese is Colby, I haven't got to try much..

Cheddar does not have a wide range of application, it is oversatured with fat and does not find a wide range of uses unless you like no-taste fat induced cheese.

I can tell because I tried using it in a fuckton of recipes, because it's one of the cheapest here at the cheese shop so I thought I could incorporate it in a wide range of meal but no, unless your meal is already a fatfuckfeast, it won't do.

Babybel

...

You clearly have never tried real Cheddar.
I feel bad for you.

I LIKE BABYBEL CHEESE YOU KNOW THE STUFF WRAPPED IN RED WAX AND THEN COVERED IN PLASTIC ITS QUITE NICE I HAD SOME LAST NIGHT AND HAVE PLANS TO EAT SOME MORE OF IT TONIGHT

Pegerino is great, always loved manchego and the king is anyway parmesan

Queso blanco. Fuck you all.

SMOKED CHEESE

YOU *LITERALLY* CANNOT PROVE ME WRONG

There's too many great cheeses to list, but lately I've been eating a lot of potted Stilton. So creamy, so tangy, so fucking awesome. Plus, I like to keep the little ceramic crocks it comes in and use them for other things.

>Cheddar
>no-taste

Found the pleb who's only ever eaten supermarket pre-packaged "mature" cheddar.

Gorgonzola

Cheese food

>nobody says butt

it's like that other thread meant nothing to you people

For me

>pecorino romano
this

Could be worth trying Cambozola m8

Imagine blue cheese Camembert

Imagine happiness

>35 calories a slice
Now that's a bargain!

On the subject of my own favourite cheeses, easily Old Amsterdam/Goats Gouda, followed (In no particular order) by Manchego, Camembert, Stilton/Cambozola, Wensleydale with Cranberries, and ANY smoked cheese I can stuff into my mouth

Nearby cheese

try sainte maure

I like many different cheeses, but there is a family run dairy near my house that produces excellent cheeses. I especially enjoy the marinated feta and the Port wine cheese. They also have a few buffalo and camels that they milk too. Outside of this place, Gouda, Brie, smoked and red Leicester.

wensleydale, my man

Cracking bit of cheese

Beemster jong belegen

manchego

this shit tastes like literally nothing

>almost no gorgonzola bros ITT
shame on you

There's always some in my fridge. Always.

>maas
i actually thought this was more about "normal" cheeses. gorgonzola is prolly the best bluecheese though.

Mozzarella, Havarti and Pepperjack are god tier

Melted Mozarella is great on everything.

Gorgonzola or Oxford Blue

>fat induced
>no taste

>implying that all the flavour isnt contained in the fat

WEW the letters are randomly lower and upper case, that must be some fun cheese.

Room temperature queso blanco dip tastes and feels exactly like cum.

Queso Fresco is shit.
Literally only good for frying or putting inside some empanadas.

Its low score on that list is well deserved.

Also, I'd put Gruyere somewhere near the top.

Try Jarlsberg. Most Krogers carry it. It's a mild Swiss that comes from Norway. You know how back in the day you'd get a free sample of some mystery cheese at the store and it was always just right in texture and the flavor was inoffensive and delicious? That's exactly what Jarlsberg is like.

I can only afford edam cheese. So far I've been very pleased with it.

Jarlsberg

Fresh mozzarella and german munster

Because you never want to eat it?

I mean that's the basic cheese for me, and then I buy more specific cheeses.
And come on, gruyère is good

1000 day old Gouda.

I have had that before, pretty good for fondue.

It's a Super Kroger. pic related is pretty much the same as in the store. "Exotic" cheeses. I know I want to try Humboldt Fog.

whoops, I meant that this cheese bar is the same as in my store. They have a very wide selection and many that I've never heard of before. What are some others I should try?

Once I found out that brie cheese tastes like human jizz I haven't been able to stop buying it
I hope the cashiers don't suspect anything

why not just eat your own cum

>implying I'm a homo

I can't even

i'd like to pound my cheese into her bar if you know what I mean

>weeaboos are capable of sexual intercourse
Your cartoon, pedo-pillow doesn't count either.

>exotic
>humboldt fog
lolwut

I used to avoid cheese like the plague because I like to be thin, but I've recently found two benefits of cheese:
a) It's really easy to figure out how many calories you are eating with it, since a package will say 7 servings, each 110cal each, or similar so I can just cut it into 7ths to know.
b) I found out fat doesn't spike insulin so high fat snacks are actually pretty good since they keep you full and don't trigger the fat storage hormone like carbs do.

Sorry for the blog post.
