Post your bar or alcohol stock

Also have Evan Williams Single Barrel but not pictured. Mostly a beer or bourbon drinker but as you can tell by the full bottle of gin and vodka, I'm starting to branch out. I need inspiration

Booze

In before someone posts their beer "cellar", which is really one case of Bourbon County, a loose box of Big Foot, and a few bottles of Cantillon

Glassware, cordials, and mixers

FUCKING

EVERYTHING

just spent 200 bucks on my last costco run

Pictures user, pictures! These are very large collection to state but without pictures there's no puddin!

I can't hold onto alcohol because i'll convince myself for three hours to drink it
just always arguing internally about not to do it, why it would be bad, then reasoning that i've got nothing else to do

Is it gay to pour your beer from a can or bottle into a glass?

> ran almost completely dry last night
>was talking shots of peppermint kahlua and vermouth to try to maintain a buzz
never again. Bout to drop like 50 bucks tonight.

Used to be more but I've cut back on the hard liquor in the past year or so. Handle of Russian Standard in the freezer.

Also have a minifridge pretty full of beer but too lazy to take a picture

Bota Box is all I have right now. Do have some beet fermenting but that will take a while. Wine isn't that bad for the price.

>Some cheap Aldi Vodka for sore throats and disinfection or cleaning purposes
Some tiny littly sip of some good scotch blend
some high proof alpine herb liquer
some shitty artificial banana flavour liquor from the same brand as the disgusting Kümmelcreme
a tiny little bit of some black forrest dry gin
aged calvados

I guess I need a good whiskey and a new gin

I have white girl taste

Any Russians in here ?

Do you drink vodka warm or cold ?

Freech/intl poster spotted
You can't Orangetext here

t. poor bastard ;_;

I used to have a lot more to brag with, but then... I drank it.

>1/2 a handle of new amsterdam

Friends and family of my wife are always buying us god damn vodka. She enjoys it some, but I do not. I drink whisky more than anything, and she usually drinks rum.

Side note; I love my pull out drawer in my island.

Dat some fancy ass bottles

>101
i would call you an alcoholic but you dont even have a handle

Thought I had some Stoli left but I must have drunk it all. Also included my 3 bitters.

>inb4 herp derp JD ain't bourbon.

>plantation rum
>basil haydens

good shit my dude, plantation is best cheap rum

Why don't you guys finish one before starting another?

I like to multi-task.

if you had a bar with 15+ liquors why the fuck would you relegate yourself to only having one at a time?

it was good enough to buy, it's good enough to finish
besides, things degrade, start to taste bad, lose their alcohol

this is probably pretty fucking sad to a liquor drinker. i'm drinking the gin right now, but I drink beer 99% of the time. I think the svedka was left here, no way i'd buy that

Well, for me it's mostly that the liquor was given as a gift or left at my house after having guests.

Sometimes though, I just feel like having a certain drink. It will all be finished eventually.

Thanks.

I've never actually had plantation, but I'll give it a try. I do really enjoy Basil Hayden's though.

Is that some patti I see?

Hey mike

lol Kevin?

Because there can be significant differences between one brand of a particular liquor and another.

Take rum for example. Something like Gosling's Black Seal rum has this heavy, sweet, sugar cane flavor. It's good with lime juice and a little bit of demerara sugar syrup. Then you've got Pusser's rum with its rich oaky flavor. It's great in some classic tiki drinks. Then you've got just plain basic white rum like Bacardi that you can make a daiquiri or a rum and coke with.

Unless you want to drink the same drink every night until you've gone through a bottle, you need to expand your booze collection to get the best drinking experience.

>experience
it's alcohol
if you want taste, why are you alcohol?

You're right. If we truly want taste, we should do like you and drink semen.

How's the Botanist?

Is that Pernod anise or absinthe?

Gotta start somewhere I guess

Never buy Red Label again and we're cool

Not interested in scotch either. I probably had 3 oz. of that bottle and friends drank the rest. The only whiskey I really like is bourbon

>americans drink grain alcohol

It's Pernod Absinthe Superieure. They made some nasty shit a while back by adding colorants and artificial flavorings and whatnot. But they've since reformulated back to the original recipe and supposed to be a lot better now. It has a strong licorice taste, which I like.

>falling for the alcohol Jew
Lmaoing at your lives

Trump should gas poorfags.

im calling it tits next time because of you, user. thanks for that.

look for Cathead vodka. shit is really good.

>and one for use as a base spirit
Tell me more

Most don't really go bad. I've had bottles open for two years.

is this the whiskey thread?
Can anyone recommend me some mid-prized one to get when I like Laphroig and Ardbeg (the younger ones) and dont't like (young) Speybur?

Ok here is mine Beers aren't very interesting, currently got 3 bottles of King Goblin and one bottle of Innis and Gunn IPA in the fridge. Lots of fever tree and schweppes tonic water too, and some ginger ale.

I really need to start getting through this stuff!

Seeing as I am retarded and forgot the Glendronnach 18, here is my glassware as well. Wouldn't have believed the difference a Glencairn glass made until I tried it

Fuck, that's quite a bit of money parking there!
How long does an open bottle last you?
And, probably more important, how long can an open bottle stay open, until it looses its taste?

>mfw liquors were 25% off at the supermarket today and my receipt informs me that I saved 35€ today

It helps a lot that I am in the UK where whisky is pretty cheap and supermarkets are usually well stocked and run offers. Plus my local Costco has a good range which changes frequently, I rarely buy anything at full price! I like to have a couple of "normal" go to bottles which go down pretty quick, at the moment it is the Bulleit, Ardbeg 10 (on offer, £23 a go, usually a "good" one) and the Glenmorangie. I tend to buy a bottle like that once a month or so, I tend to only drink at weekends and 4 or so drams a night so not THAT much. Gin is dirt cheap, the Tanquary was £15 a bottle and go through a couple of them a month.

As for the "good" stuff, some of them were gifts and I usually go through them in 6 months or so. I keep them in the boxes in a dark cupboard and have never had one go bad yet - that Hibiki has been open for about 2 years and still tastes great. Was slightly put off drinking it when they abandoned the 12 and the price shot up. Really should just demolish the rest of it one night.

>mfw liquors were 25% off at the supermarket today and my receipt informs me that I saved 35€ today
What did you get user? 25% off is not to be argued with!

I have a local tripel, cherry double dunkel, Russian imperial, Grand cru, and some Backwoods Bastard in mine. Is that okay?

>people keep a regular "bar"
>not just one bottom-shelf plastic-contained gin handle they take swigs out of next to their computer at all times

...

>It helps a lot that I am in the UK where whisky is pretty cheap…
>…Ardbeg 10 (on offer, £23 a go, usually a "good" one)
That's a nice price. Almost got one, but they are 50€ here, so I just went for some Lafrch (QC), a bit cheaper and I already know that I like it.
>I tend to only drink at weekends and 4 or so drams a night so not THAT much.
Uhm…
>Gin is dirt cheap, the Tanquary was £15 a bottle
Damn…
>and go through a couple of them a month.
Uhm, I'm not going to call you an alcoholic, but that's quite a bit.

>What did you get user? 25% off is not to be argued with!
The above mentionend Láfrög, Some local Gin (gins from non-gin areas are always hit or mis. Curious how that'll turn out), a bottle of Absolut (I like it best among the mid-price Vodkas, plus its cheap enough to use it as paint thinner or cough medicine if needed) and some Zirbe (Essentially grain alcohol plus some pine nuts).

Sorry I was meaning I don't drink that much whisky, gin is a different story all together!

Sounds a good haul you got there, I am really enjoying the QC. Was a bit hesitant to venture outside the regular 10 after the disaster that is Select but I am glad I did. Would buy it again. You seem to know more about gin than I do, any particular recommendations that are readily available?

In the decanter is High West Campfire, and the tall clear bottle in the back is demerara syrup.

>Sounds a good haul you got there, I am really enjoying the QC.
Good to hear. Lets see when I find the time to try it. I'm always hesitant to just pop open a bottle alone without a real reason.
>Was a bit hesitant to venture outside the regular 10 after the disaster that is Select
What was the select disaster?
>You seem to know more about gin than I do, any particular recommendations that are readily available?
I dont really know a lot.
I just like to try local stuff, because unlike whiskey, gin seems to be somewhat "easy" to make and to infuse with some local flavours, whereas the local whiskeys mostly are overpriced, way too you and not that good.
My personal favorite "local" gin is pic related.
Not as expensive as the well known monkey47 but quite sipable.

Given how many people here seem to have the "drinking is for getting drunk" attitude instead of caring about flavor, is it really such a surprise?

I genuinely enjoy drinking nearly everything on my list. Though I didn't pick it all out or buy it all of course, most of my family and friends are liquor pigs.

Grabbed a bottle of Macallan 12 tonight. Fine sipper.

Help me up my rum game Veeky Forums

Here's your pudding, user. Not pictured is Sgt. Kahlua, who finally succumbed on Friday to his grievous wound at the hands of the White Russians. Also, apparently, Gen. Barbancourt was demoted to 3-star at some point. (Sorry; I was working from memory.)

There's lots of cocktails you can make with a long pour of bitters. Entry-level: the Trinidad Sour. 1 oz each of ango and orgeat, 3/4 oz of lemon juice, 1/2 oz of rye whiskey and an egg white. Play with the syrup to ango ratio as you see fit.
