$5 bottles of wine are hard to beat

There's also the infamous Two Buck Chuck

I just discovered this one. It looks like cat puke but it tastes great.

The frozen Indian dinners are great. So is the Cambozola cheese. They also have a feta salad dressing that I really like.

alcohol and these

I'm a "leaf" so we don't have Trader Joe's but you can be damn sure I would be down for some two buck chuck! How much does their natural peanut butter go for?

Haven't tried the grains one but YES, their tikka masala & naan is delicious.

I remember it going for $3-5. Not expensive at all. Their almond butter is a bit pricier though.

I picked up kraft natural peanut butter for $4 per 750g tub. That's as cheap as you will ever find natural peanut butter here. They have a 2 per trip limit, I went back 3 days in a row. Sucks how expensive everything is in Canada...

girlfriend works for trader joes, ama, or don't

Does she get those sweet, sweet TJ discounts? Also, how easy was it for her to get hired? I know TJ is all about providing good customer service and I know a lot of people who didn't get hired there.

Damn dude that sucks. Hey, can't you make your own peanut butter with a food mixer? I was looking at multi purpose food mixers and they were like 30 bucks on amazon and you can make all sorts of things with it. I saw people making "mixed nut butter" with cashews, peanuts, almonds, and even adding some seeds for extra fiber.

Joe-Joe's. I can't eat any other sandwich cookie after discovering these because the creamy vanilla is far superior to the frosty sugary stuff other cookies usually use. Peppermint Joe-Joe's are even better, wish those were sold year-round.

Their new candy bars are great too.

10%, it adds up (I cant get it myself though). She applied after being a repeat customer for years. She complains a lot about how demanding management is of "crew". She has to be friendly, smile, etc.

Try the canned dolmas. They have Bollywood Popcorn, Tikka Masala flavored, on sale for $1/bag right now at my TJ's (Santa Cruz)

I think it's being discontinued :( so good

WHAT.
I personally did not like the Joe-Joe's I love peppermint everything and I found the texture really gross. :/
I had to throw it away because it just sat untouched. I am a fan of their cowboy bark though.

I'm not surprised. Are there any other bonus perks of working there?

I've never had dolma. How to eat/cook them??
I've tried the Bollywood Popcorn, liked it for a bit, but when you get to the bottom half of the bag its more crumb-y than popcorn-y, ya feel?? And it becomes too salty for my taste but they are good. I liked their weird bacon popcorn.

The dolmas really impressed me. I've had other canned dolmas and dolmas from restaurants and produce markets but these are actually high-ranking for me. You can eat them right out of the can. Best way is to open the can, drain the oil, put them in a Tupperware, then throw it in the fridge. Eat with chopsticks. You get 10 per can for about $2.19 I think? Great deal

They're made proper too, with dill and mint

Whatsgoodattraderjoes.com has some pretty in-depth review on a lot of items.

What the fuck, how have I not known about this website before?
Thanks!

What are you supposed to eat dolmas with?

It's actually cheaper to buy good natural peanut butter as opposed to buying peanuts that cheap and making my own peanut butter. I tried. Not all peanuts are created equally, and that's why some are sold extremely cheap...

Dolmas are usually like a side dish or an appetizer at any Mediterranean restaurant. They go great with tzatziki, pita, tabbouleh...

But I've been know to just eat a whole can by itself when I'm having a cheat day. Try them, you won't be disappointed. I don't know how they're so underrated. I have never seen anybody else buy, let alone rave about, the Trader Joe's brand canned dolmas.

I heard they used to carry different kinds, I don't know about that all I know is that the white cans they currently stock are certified dank.

Huh. Interesting. I did not know that. I'm too lazy to make my own peanut butter, esp with a Trader Joe's near me, but thanks. I will not attempt to make my own peanut butter.

I'm going tomorrow and will pick up a can if I see one.

How big are your gfs tits? Can I see them?

the cashews that are covered in coconut.

Their best product by a long shot is the frozen croissant. A friend of mine is a retired Pastry chef from Paris. He buys them and admits he can't cook a better croissant without a $5,000 oven that injects steam

australian licorice

and the mini peanut butter cups

Those fucking spicy lentil wraps. When I was working in Seattle there was a Trader Joe's down the road and I had one of those wraps 3/5 days a week for lunch.

I've worked for TJs for almost 5 years now.
crew level. work morning shift and mid days. fuck working the night load.

Their cocktail sauce is great.

I agree with all the dolmas suggestions. You can try them with greek yogurt or tzatziki. I think they may be best at room temp, but you can try them warmed or refrigerated.

Bump. I want to know if that guy ever went and tried the dolmas.

The GOAT grocery store bread.

milk chocolate, swedish swimmers and nacho chips

gummi mangos

those new cheese bites, chocolate covered peanuts and mochi rice nuggers are good

I always buy the cranberry juice, unsalted tortilla chips, unsalted bread, various unsalted nuts, and random cheeses

Their coarse stone ground white grits are the cheapest high quality grits in the world.

There might be a type or two that are better direct from certain mills, but those mills are 4 times the price.

Fellow TJs slut here! Their granola especially chocolate almond, flax meal w/ blueberry, onion bagels, sesame honey cashews, all the cheeses but especially unexpected cheddar, blueberry goat cheese and gruyere cheddar, frozen gorgonzola gnocchi, dark chocolate pb cups, strawberry mochi, mango nectar, everything crackers, both kinds of plantain chips, cucumber tzatziki dip with the garlic naan, and the tub of little pistachio and white chocolate cookies.

Sorry that's a blog post but I can't control myself when it comes to tjs

Best frozen food idea ever.

These were good

So do you sluts like to fuck losers on Veeky Forums? I buy hipster produce like you.

OP here, participant of the dolma convo. I'm a girl btw.

I went this morning and it was a war zone. Forgot it was super bowl Sunday. I couldn't find any dolmas :/

I saw that and considered buying it but I don't eat that much bread and it always gets moldy.

Have you tried their pecan praline granola? SO good. Also THE UNEXPECTED CHEDDAR IS DELICIOUS. Today I got some brie and dutch gouda with their cheap ($1.39) multigrain and flaxseed water crackers.

I got stoned and ate half of the coffee cake with my cheese and crackers.

I also bought their new chocolate mint tea, and I did not like.

...

I love that shit. Aldi has one that's kind of similar, but larger, and I'm addicted to that one too.

roasted flax seeds

starting with the phrase "xxx here"

go back to rebbit you fucking faggot

Honey Moon Viognier. sweet, but not overly so, has a nice floral quality, and it's strong for a white wine. plus the price is incredible

The closest Trader Joe's to me is in another state

I fucking love their Greek cheese pastry wheel.

isnt trader joes owned by the same company that owns aldis? i would never eat the same food as niggers. publix all the way

chicken dumplings, cant beat em

this is such a pure, good thread. get the fuck out.

Have Feminine penis???

Today I went to TJ's and bought:
frozen seafood paella
>looks good but it was a bit pricy 4.99 but I reckon I can get 2 meals out of it
chicken breast
carolina gold BBQ sauce
turkey meatballs
among other things

As a Trader Joes employee, its cool to be fed tasty food all day, but the costumers (you anons) are insufferable.

BUMP. Somebody try the dolmas already. Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks they're amazing.

how so:?

They had a great microwaveable cheese fondue this past Christmas season that sold out almost instantly. I usually just stop in for their soy chorizo and tempeh, but I'm going to pick up some lobster ravioli next time I'm there. Their unsweetened black tea is the best on the market. Also loved the Scandanavian Swimmers, even though Swedish Fish aren't usually my thing.

no
also no
I think I can answer this. Trader joes shoppers are typically upper-middle class white women who are entitled. TJ's makes customers feel like gods at the expense of their employees, moreso than other establishments. The "exotic" foods they stock tend to elicit bemusement and intrigue from customers, which makes the comments and small talk between employees and customers painful.

I would never speak to someone in a grocery store, and I don't want people speaking to me.

But I kind of know what you mean. I hate shopping at TJs because of the customers. I can't imagine spending an entire shift there.

Also, it makes me die a little inside whenever I start bagging my groceries and one of your cashiers gives me a surprised-sounding "oh! thanks!" as though no other customer has ever tried to keep the line moving and GTFO ASAP.

It's really really good and is great from the freezer

one time at my local TJ's that open til 10 PM had a server shut down at 9:30 because apparently someone from corporate thought all the stores were closed (most close at 9 over here) and all the cash registers completely froze. they tried to get things back running ASAP and some people stuck around. while we were waiting, the manager opened up some delicious party goodies for people to enjoy while we wait like the precut fruits, peanut butter cups, cookies, chocolates, and chips and gave everyone free TJ grocery bags for the inconvenience. we had to wait till around 10:15 for it to get up and running again but the experience wasn't so bad and everyone was very nice to each other (probs because of all the yummy snacks). good on manager for handling it so well.

olive oil
coconut oil
dark chocolate
two buck chuck wine

** some 2 buck chuck wines are good not all **

thrillist.com/drink/nation/the-best-two-buck-chuck-at-trader-joe-s-cheap-wine-thrillist-nation

wait the coffee cake I bought has giving me intense diarrhea. I know its the coffee cake because I ate it two days in a row and its not anything else i ate and my stomach hurts right after i've been eating it. yesterday I thought it mightve been the cheese....

trader joes employees, should I go back to my tjs and tell them that there may be something wrong with the product?

What's your favorite TJ's chicken sausage flavor?

Garlic herb and Spicy Italian seem to be the best macro-wise (130/140 cal, 17/18g protein respectively) and the garlic herb definitely seems to be the most popular.

Their cheese selection is cheap and good.

I liked their ground beef.

the boxed tomato soupe was solid.

they had crystallized candied ginger in their fruit and nut section was was nice.

I think they are a nice mix between a reasonably priced king soopers with some specialty items you would find at whole memefoods

Indian food TV dinners.

Potato chips

absolutely. Don't you know of how lax the return policy is? just tell them something was wrong with a product you buy and you will get your money back. no receipt needed. object itself not actually needed sometimes either.
plus they can send out a quality report and let the makers know whats up.

Their shepherd's bread is the best.

BEHOLD

grabbed this on a whim once and was surprised how good it is. nice flavor and a good amount of heat.

I've had some great sourdough from Aldi's that looks similar. Cheap as fuck, like about everything there, for a big loaf and it's tasty enough to eat on its own as a snack. At least where I live it seems like a pain to find actually sour sourdough, I even stopped in bakeries that don't have it. Gonna have to make some myself.

Although even the bad stuff is still more than you'd expect from $2 wine

>Sucks how expensive everything is in Canada...
Socialism tends to do that.

Yeah and all you get in return is this lousy higher standard of living. It's bullshit
