I like to cook outside of the box and was wondering if anyone had any strange flavor combinations that actually work. Here are a few examples I've stumbled across:
>Chocolate tomato sauce and yams
>Hot pepper jelly and sardines/anchovies
ITT: Odd flavour combos that actually work
The one that everyone knows:
>French fries dipped in a chocolate Frosty from Wendy's
>sweet+salty

try pouring some chocolate syrup into vanilla coke and shake it up. it's fucking delicious
I call this one "Clinical Depression Breakfast Burrito"
-1 cold wheat tortilla
-2 tbsp cottage cheese
-2 eggs, scrambled
-handful of spinach
-1 uncooked hotdog
Combine all ingredients and eat in fetal position on the floor.
EBIN HAHAHA XDDDD
FUNNY THREAD!
fucking animal. I used to work with people who did this and it's terrible.
Bubble gum + Ice cubes.
Coffee creamer and milk, not coffee but just liquid cream
So watered down cream?
Brownie eaten with orange juice.
this is one thats really popular in korea: kimbap (that sushi looking mf) and processed kraft cheese. also, shin ramen and processed cheese.
Better than drinking pure cream though
That's not really a flavor combo, you're just watering down cream
Dry cereal and orange juice
Chinese spare ribs over soft serve vanilla ice cream
Cereal with OJ instead of milk is delicious
Go to any restaurant that lets you mix flavors for smoothies/milkshakes and get a peanut butter watermelon combo.

My dad showed me this when i was a wee lad
>mash very ripe banana
>add egg
>add 1 cup raw oats
>salt and pepper
>cook like an omelette
>ham and cheese in the middle
Fucking nice
a friend of mine swears by a slice of mango wrapped in ham. says the flavours balance each other perfectly. i've never been game to try to be honest.
Well, fruit wrapped in prosciutto is a thing. Prosciutto is pretty similar to regular ham.
Sounds breddy gud
Maybe rolling the banana mixture into balls and stuffing them with ham and cheese, freezing and frying them would be delicious too
t. burger
Prawns and Chocolate.
Today I tried a frozen burrito covered in poutine gravy and melted mozzarella. It was pretty fucking awesome and will definitely be eating it again. Pourito.
macaroni and cheese with tator tots in it
Look george! you're favorite, a twinkie weenie sandwich!
mmmmmmm
Tuna mayonnaise and pineapple desu
TRY IT
*your
...
Well honey melon wrapped in dried ham and some remoulade are a thing in Europe (don't know about the rest of the world), so I can see it working.
I should read the fucking thread before giving the same answer as the user before.

Is the captcha having a stroke?
it's been doing the 'find the invisible stop sign thing' since yesterday, a random pick usually gets through, not sure what's happening
Probably not very weird, but I love adding pickle juice to sauerkraut soup
Pickle juice is an awesome ingredient. I wonder why people throw it away.
My mom's noodle salad has pickle juice as a secret ingredient and everyone loves that shit.
...
...
I add bread and butter pickle juice to mayo with a bit of hot sauce and a literal drop of liquid smoke and I put that shit on everything.
It was funnier befou're you fixed it.
This is some Berenstain shit, it was always CHICKEN NUGGETS dipped in the Frosty, not fucking french fries.
...
doesn't the ice just freeze the gum? That's how people remove gum from clothing
Kimchi and panchetta
>all that salt
>but all that flavor
Two right here:
>hot dog with relish + teriyaki sauce
>eggs + barbeque sauce, sandwiched between two waffles
They both gave me bad stomach-aches but I think it was worth it
scrambled eggs*
Sliced onions on bread spread with sourcreme, and some salt and pepper.
boiled cabbage with butter
picklebacks
strawberries with sour creme, and sugar
almond
strawberry
goat cheese
all on a water cracker
Pepperoni and pineapple pizza
Do you make canapes user?
never have before, looks interesting though
Wonton chip (or tortilla chips) with coleslaw + eel sauce, fish optional
Peanuts and chocolate milk
Dr pepper and chocolate milk
Not all that strange, but I make a fantastic sweet potato casserole with fire-roasted poblano peppers and whole cranberries. It's sweet, spicy, and tangy. I use cayenne, nutmeg, brown sugar, butter, and black pepper in the sweet potatoes and top with a crunchy streusel pecan topping. 10/10 would recommend everyone try it.
Coconut and pepper
Garlic, mustard and sesame
DUDE, I don't care if youre joking or not but chewing gum while drinking ice cold water and chewing on crushed ice with it is fucking amazing.
Chocolate and meat
Naturally, it needs to be super dark, but it really works
Croissant + Whole Grain Mustard.
It's like a savoury orgasm. I'm not a Francophile I swear.
I'm going to try blueberries on my oven roasted chicken leg tonight. Will report back
I like the classic elvis bacon + peanut butter
Yeah but Wendy's changed their fries so now its not as good.
gummy cola and peanut m&ms
a2m
Pickle slice on a ritz cracker topped with a little ranch dressing
pleb
Garlic and beanut butter
Vaseline and your mom's asshole
Is Nell Ara in this thread?
You forgot tears for extra salt.
Anyone here try Jelly with Hamburger meat?
Not unusual for SEAfags but I think it's pretty weird for white people. Avocados with sweet stuff/dessert. Avocado is really creamy so I think it goes really well with sweet stuff. I also like savoury avocados in guac though.
In indonesia, people drink avocado smoothies, usually they blend it with condensed milk and top it with some chocolate. Pic related.
In thailand,
>onion bagel
>cream cheese with chives
>dill pickle
only a matter of time
It was delicious. Mustard + salsa as well
KEK
fried, salted udon w lemon and sugar (like on pancakes)
one time Veeky Forums told me to put peanut butter on fresh jalapenos and it was quite tasty
kinda like ants on a log but a little spicier
and i knew a turkish guy who recommended feta cheese on watermelon which was also really fantastic
more and more asian tea/boba tea places are opening in the states and you can find avocado smoothies in many of them. i tried it for the first time in texas... six, seven years ago maybe? it wasn't bad, but i doubt many people even try it.
>being surprised by autistic people with shit palates: the thread on autistic people with shit palates: the board
Feg
I actually dip my tendies in shakes as well.
Instant coffee in coke or dr pepper
hummus and/or hot sauce on cheap pizza
What is odd about that combo?
I think that's called pickle brine
That looks really good.
>literally a classic mexican dish
super weird user
had that in the phillipines when i went to davao for a month

I am gonna make that this Saturday morning. Thanks.
