Ok, I'm back from works
and after the great success of the first thread, I decided to make another

>not lliving in Scotland to take advantage of cheap single malt
everyone in Scotland is a cunt though
>everyone in Glasgow is a cunt though
Fixed.
Pretty nice living here and having cheap easy access to malts, wish I had stocked up on Ardbeg 10 when it was down to £23 last month
I keep my whiskey in a decanter but my brother claims it's a carafe.
That's because there constantly pished on cheap single malt.
Anyone but England
Currently drinking some Ardbeg 10, sublime as one would expect.
Just finished a bottle of this, such a wonderful whiskey, especial once you get half way though the bottle and it oxidizes a bit.
Anyone tried this? Saw it in lidl the other day and tempted to pick up a bottle
fuck.off. ass hole.
>triple oak
I haven't had it and I already don't like it
Whisky companies should focus on the malt quality instead of trying to obliterate any individuality by overuse of oak
Same goes for wine
Bourbon I'm ok with blasting with oak because bourbon a shit
>whiskey
>hiskey
>iskey
>skey
>key
>ey
>e
Fuck off and die in a fire
Ardbeg 10 is like £45 now It's crazy
Pretty happy that i Picked up a few bottles last year for £28 each
wow what a pleb
I'm English and I've never got on with a Scotsman for whatever prejudices they still hold
Though I get on well with any Irishman
Damn dude
I completely forgot about Hellyers Road, I was gifted a bottle of the Peated Single Malt a few years back and loved it, cant seem to get hold of it anymore
Haven't tried the 10 though
dude look
just fucking calm down
Open up a bottle of whiskey, I'm sure you have jack Daniels or Jameson
open it up, pour yourself a glass, watch heather feathers new video youtube.com
Don't buy alcohol from lidl
all of it are cheap knock offs
ill fuck you up boy
>Ardbeg 10 is like £45 now It's crazy
It's the fucking Chinks. Them having a higher standard of living now are buying whisky like crazy. This leads to prices shooting up.
All the brands I drink have gone up ~ $5-10 a bottle compared to last year.
We need to solve the Chink problem.
I'm from Tasmania but I haven't tried this whisky yet. Might grab a bottle this weekend.
err
ok
WHERE DO YOU GET IT
David is that you?
no
fuck off Samantha
i also heard Green Spot is $85
In England it's £30
Green Spot is NOT worth $85
Yellow Spot is NOT worth $90
Green Spot the most I'd pay is £40
Yellow Spot the most I'd pay is £50
Green Spot is inferior to Yellow Spot Idk what people say
American Prices are cray
I recently got a bottle of Laphroaig Triple Wood
I got to say, I honestly thought that those flavor charts that said shit like "leather" and "peat" were just try-hardy. But after tasting it, the only way I can describe Triple Wood is "peaty".
I'm really digging Glenmoragie. I've had their normal 10, and am sipping on pic related atm.
Suntory gaijin edition.
Breddy gud. Very clean, smooth.
>WHERE DO YOU GET IT
danmurphys.com.au
The Dan Murphy's near me has it in stock, are you in Australia?
'merican here
Green spot goes for $51 or £42 and Yellow spot goes for $90 or £75 at my local Total Wine (generally the best prices in the area)
Kilchoman 2016 quarter cask
Definitely best over single piece of ice.
easiest way i can describe it is like sipping on a dragon. Very warm, very smoky at first, as the ice melts you get a bit of a turpentine flavor, and then toward the end the big payoff as it becomes woody and slightly toffee-ish
irish, so yet whiskey
Country it's from has an E, it's Whiskey (America/Ireland)
No E, Whisky
>err
>ok
He's probably not actually wrong, although maybe not SOLELY due to the Chinese. Single malts have been enjoying renewed popularity for the past few years and it's seen as a sign of wealth to buy relatively expensive, aged spirits. Only so much single malt can reach 10+ years at one time and supply is falling slightly behind demand but that will likely change in coming years.
Tripple Wood is pretty good
I'd describe it just as okay and ashy
damn that stuff is nice
I should really stock that back up
I'm a pleb when it comes to Japanese whiskey
sorry my boi
I'm in England
do these guys ship internationally ?
Not a bad price for Green Spot, though still quite expensive for what you're getting
Yellow spot is overpriced (though I'd probably still splurge every now and then and just buy a bottle)
have you tried the Loch Gorm ?
bloody good whiskey
you've peaked my interest, I'll look into buying this btw
He's not wrong no, but it reminds me of the people that say X is always the problem like a madman
"Wi-Fi not working? bloody commies!"
"Doritos have risen in price again! God damn you chinese government!"
he has a point
still funny though
>I'm in England
>do these guys ship internationally ?
I don't think so but these guys do
nicks.com.au
They only have the peated one in stock though.
fuuccck
next pay check
this is what I get
thanks a lot
What does it taste like compared to a sherry finished whisky? Since its a port finish and all.
