Im usually very shy, but Ive recently started to experiment with going out to bars and clubs and stuff.

what are some basic beginner cocktails i should try?

ive only ever had margaritas before, but i didnt really like them.

I like the B-52 flaming. It can be delicious.

Otherwise, basic beer.

Gin and Tonic if im trying to look cool.

gin or vodka and tonic dry (little or no vermouth, which is a sweet wine-flavored thing they put in gin/vodka tonics sometimes) make sure they put an olive in it if they serve it without one

jack and coke

bloody mary (more of a morning or lunch drink)

tequila sunrise (orange juice, cherry syrup and tequila) i dont know when its appropriate to drink these but theyre decent enough.

In my favorite order

1. Tanqueray and tonic with a lime
2. Jack and ginger
3. Hennesy and sprite with a lemon KC tea
4. Amf adios mother fucker
5 long Island ice tea

Patron shots of your feeling to get funky.

Acceptable cocktails for male drinkers to not seem like pussies. In no order.

Gin and Tonic
Vodka and Soda water
Manhattan (but I don't like the vermouth)
Vodka or Gin Martini
Bloody Mary if it's morning or lunch
Scotch and Soda water
Whiskey and water
Whiskey sour (NOT Old Fashioned however, it's a woman's drink in spite of if you watch Mad Men or not.)

First of all every cocktail tastes bad at least a little bit. If it tastes good there's barely any alcohol in there.
That being said, the usual normie ones that will taste fine are rum&coke, gin&tonic, whiskey sour, screwdriver (mostly only during daytime)

Vodka and orange juice is lazy breakfast juice or mixer when you have nothing else. No reason to order it.

Kahlua and Cream (and/or with Vodka for a White Russian)
Mimosa (orange juice and champagne - not really a cocktail but whatever)
Jack/Rum/whatever and Coke
Buttery Nipple (Bailey's and butterscotch schnapps)
Duck Fart - which I think is Bailey's and Kahlua and possibly other stuff - not sure just know it tastes good
Electric Watermelon and Long Island Iced Tea both have several different shots plus grenadine or something else but you'd have to Google them.
Oh yeah, and daiquiris

Alcohol is degenerate and so is this retarded culture of giving names to the shitty drinks.
