Frick yes I got Myanmar!

I will deliver guys.

Let's get some mohinga up in this thread.

> turmeric
> tilapia
> crushed garlic
> submerged lemongrass

Broth is looking good so far

Forgot picture

Well, it took all freakin day- but I did it.

I got Gambia. I might just turn my tap on and drink some fresh water.

...

>Isle of Man
>herring and boiled potatoes
I don't wanna play anymore. If it makes you feel better, I had boiled potatoes with dinner tonight.

Ya man.
It does make me feel better.

Ok, I'll do some research. But if I make Gambian, it won't be until late this afternoon, which is 5 hours from now.

Hey, I DID say the timer upon pressing the button 5 times was anywhere from this weekend to the following week.

Good luck though.

Side note- when I was making this broth, it was the first time I had used lemongrass in a significant while. I totally forgot how fricken good it smells.

>lemongrass

Yeah, I really think it's the primary ingredient in Tom Yum Goong.

>North Korea

Not a special enough occasion to slaughter my neighbor's dog, so that's gonna have to be kimchi and rice. Fuck it, I've always wanted to try kimchi, guess I'll start on lunes.

>mfw USSR

This is simple, tovarisch. I need only to cook nothing and fast for a day.

>Sri Lanka
what the fuck do they eat here

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri_Lankan_cuisine

>le korean food is dog rice kimchi only meme

>Ecuador
Guess I'll just go to some Ecuadorian food joint on some poor neighborhood instead

I got Belize. Rice and beans with Marie Sharpes on top here i come!

Hey, at least he's actually making something.

Oh come on- Latin American cooking is one of the easiest

I'm Latin American myself, food from Chile/Peru/Ecuador/Bolivia/Colombia is too fucking similar. I can't be arsed.

fair enough

It's not a meme if it's fucking true. Name ten NK dishes that are eaten daily by the average person that aren't kimchi, rice, black buckwheat noodles, or cooked in gasoline.

Fuck, that's like getting offended if someone gets the US and makes a burger.

lithuania

i guess rye bread and boiled potatoes shouldn't be a problem

The best naengmyeon I've ever had was in Pyongyang 2bh

Got Canada.
Fuck this game, I'm not making poutine.

I got Mexico

Time to whip up tacos

>Not making Kraft macaroni and cheese

Own it with pride comrade

youtube.com/watch?v=U06jlgpMtQs

> doesn't even consider east coast seafood

Who said anything about the dishes having to be "eaten daily by the average person"? You're adding additional requirements just to be "right"

>got ireland
>am irish

i'm going again

Weren't you the one telling me that kimchi and rice aren't representative of the NK diet? If they are actually eaten regularly, then what's the fucking problem with making them?

I was telling you that there are other things to korean food besides kimchi and rice. You brought up representative diet for some reason.

Estonia - will deliver sometime today or tomorrow

fucking glad I didn't get the Christmas island

Yeah, no shit there are other things eaten in NK. How does that make kimchi wrong? Is mexico guy wrong because he posted tacos instead of pollo en mole or rice and beans or tortas? Is lithuania guy wrong because "le epic only potato meem XD"? Fuck off.

Albanian. I don't even know what they eat but I'll give it a try

OP here- re-rolling if you get your own country is acceptable.

Cuisine of Antigua and Barbuda

I think i can deliver tomorrow.

> wikipedia
> "The main meal of the Albanians is lunch"

Shouldn't be too difficult

how did it turn out btw?
I assume that pic was taken by you.

Do tell this story

what even is this map

I never told you you were "wrong" either.

So calling it meme food was just you being a useless dick all along. Ya got me.

I was trying to encourage you to cook something other than kimchi which is the go-to Korean preparation

Guys.
Ples chill

It's a pretty civil conversation, don't be so sensitive

>le korean kimchi meme
>who said that the dishes have to be stuff people eat
>but calling it meme food wasn't deriding you, user
>I'm not calling you wrong for making it, user
>I'm encouraging you

You have a strange method of encouragement, especially since you failed to provide me with a single alternative to kimchi that's eaten in the dprk.

Also, I've never had kimchi. I actually already wanted to make it.

It came out really good. Hot, lime juice sour, with the rich shrimp flavor of the stock. I love that soup.

Do it then- so far OP me is the only one that's delivered

Got Portugal. Might make something on Tuesday, but I don't know any Portugese dishes.

I got Switzerland. Will make something either Wednesday or Friday whenever I have time.

any ideas so far?

awesome! got a recipe?

>got a recipe

That's tough because I've cooked for myself long enough that I just go by feel but I'll try.

1/2lb shrimp shelled and devained
4 cups chicken broth

Simmer shrimp shells in chicken broth for 30 minutes. Remove shells.

3-5 Thai peppers, sliced lengthwise
1 tsp galangal or ginger finely chopped
1tsp garlic finely chopped
1 stalk lemongrass, pounded and cut into 3" lengths
4 lime leaves if you have them
4 Tbs of fish sauce
4 Tbs of lime juice

Add everything except the lime juice/fish sauce mixture and shrimp to the stock. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add fish sauce and lime juice. Add shrimp and simmer for 3 minutes. Feel free to adjust to your preferences. As I said, I'm not sure about quantities.

What the fuck is Moldova?

Kiribati
What the fuck is that?

Belarus

I'm gonna use this as an excuse to make pierogies with some sort of game meat

> Polynesia

Dude roll with it, you got a good pick,

I'm thinking of doing a Berner platte. Only recipe in english i can find uses a slow cooker, so it looks like I won't have time to make until my next full day off which is friday.

blessed

bimp

OP here. Thanks man.

I'm not going to whine about "people not delivering yet" since there have been people showing genuine interest in the idea, AND because I did give a 7+ day timer upon pressing the button.

That said, an occasional bump here and there will be needed to keep this from being archived while people plan their dish, even if it's two guys arguing about Korean food.

Np

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moldovan_cuisine

its a cool thread OP, i look forward to the entries

wish i had the time to participate

Still do man. You have 7 days AFTER you choose to press the button. It's a timer.

Never mind, just realized that you meant you had a packed schedule when you said that. I'm a dipshit.

If the thread goes on for long enough I might have the time.

I'm taking care of a really sick puppy right now and its kind of a 24/7 job.

You're a good person user.
I demand pictures though.

here she is sleeping at my feet

shes very clingy and sticks to me like a barnacle but her legs dont work too well. also cries pathetically when she thinks im leaving. so i carry her around with me in a box

sleeping in my lap while i work on my laptop

Frick she's cute.

what's wrong with her btw :(

Aye OP.
I'm having to look around for some stuff since I got Panama food

Kimchi is ferment. Is done 2 days, worry not.

noice

youtube.com/watch?v=VovFaEd-Kp0

her back legs are really messed up, and her mumdog tried to kill her in front of me im 80% sure. She probably wouldve died if i left her there

im hoping its something good nutrition and moderate exercise can fix, she seems to be doing better since she came home with me

dont wanna derail thread too much, heres one last pic of her
her hind legs arent very strong so she tends to just flop down when tired

Give her a good snug and kiss for all of us, ok.

yeah! i love this little retard

Get well, pupper

Kiribati delivery. I am not too good with fish, sorry about that, but I made sauce, with pineapple coconut, lime and some curry poweder. (Curry powder is frequently used in Kiribati) The rice is made with coconut and some lime juice. The fish is Mahi Mahi with curry powder, coconut milk and lime juice. The pinapple is leftovers from making the sauce. (Couldn't allow myself to waste it.)

> gives himself a tag name and everything

Well done

>Cambodia
Won't deliver today but I'll do it.

Any initial plans?

honestly was expecting much worse:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambian_cuisine

Bump

How was it? Looks like a fun lunch.

Bump

Is she feeling better?

>Indonesia
This'll be fun

Sorry senpai. Guy that got Sweden here. Don't think I'm gonna be able to deliver. Too much shit going on in my life right now. I like the idea though, and I hope you guys keep this going strong.

All good. I hope cool stuff comes out of it too. I just got to keep bumping it to give people time though.

Maybe I'll shorten the timer when I make a sequel.

She was mega sick from the deworming but at least she's not in pain anymore. Just kinda listless and her appetite is low. Considering force feeding

Yay! Puppo is somewhat better :D

Thoughts on what an appropriate timer length is?

Making gjelle here tomorrow. Will post pictures
