Why do Americans have all the good stuff?

...

Because Europe doesn't know what the hell it's doing, with the notable exception of Germanic countries. Incidentally, that's why American food is good, we've had a lot of German immigrants.

Americans stop giving a shit and started making the first things that come to mind. Turns out it makes good food.

wha
Spain? Portugal? Italy? maybe France?

Basically this. Anti-intellectualism

Ikr, if anything Germans have cancer-inducing processed meat and dead turkey doner. First post is delusional.

>Spain? Portugal? Italy?
Garbage.
>France
I'll grant that they know their baked goods.

Multiculturalism :^)

fast food isn't even private businesses anymore
it's a tool to keep rednecks happy
frankly, I'm jealous

Because Europe has shit taste.

True. Cuck me all day, baby, I'm eating right as rain

>lobster roll
>multiculturalism
>cuck
What.

If you eat anything that you didn't kill with your own hands, you are being KILL KEKED by big agra.
Everyone knows this.

DELET

Yes but multiculturalism brings more types of food, there would be no kebabs or tacos without brown people

No

Someone doesn't know that Italian was the first and is the most popular ethnic food in the US.

>Italian was the first and is the most popular ethnic food in the US
It's the same everywhere else.

>everywhere loves Italian food
>it's garbage
wat?

Literally the most popular cuisine in the world.

Because America doesn't give a fuck what people cooked in the past, they care about what tastes good right fucking now.

I don't care, it's still mediocre-tier at best. I've been to Italy too and the whole place is dirty.

>the whole place is dirty.
Blame the mob.

A huge glut of food generated by the virtues of a huge geography and industrial capitalism was suddenly made available to various historically starving peoples who couldn't necessarily get the ingredients they needed to make the old recipes anymore anyways. I think that's the story behind American Italian cuisine and it sounds like it'd generally hold

...

Wat. What a shit board.

You could always go back to your containment board for your safespace meme circlejerk.

Like what? An obesity and diabetes epidemic? Highly processed food? HFCS in everything?

>All the best stuff

Veeky Forums is shit, denying that just make it shittier.

Why do you continue to post if you don't like it here?

To improve the board duh.

>Why do Americans have all the good stuff?

American capitalism.

Euro-trash nations tax the ever loving shit out of everything in order to maintain their nanny states, so it's harder to start a food business, and people are less inclined to do so. Outside of the socialist liberal urban shitholes in the U.S., it's easier to start your own small business, which means that people are willing, and able, to make and sell their favorite regional cuisines.

Now it's getting harder, though, as the Juden established a firm grip here in the states after WW II, which lead to large scale corporate monopolies that buy out smaller competitors, and make it more difficult to succeed with a small business.

The arrogance, faggots go here and here

Yeah and good old American capitalism brought us microwave meals, fast food, HFCS/corn products in everything, processed everything.

While this thread makes valid points lets not forget about all of the luxury crops we produce on the west coast of the USA
The San Joaquin Valley produces so much inexpensive luxury items. California alone has the climates to grow nearly anything on earth
This gives us the ability to get a wide variety of cash crops very cheap.
I can literally buy a back of avocados a big as a sack of potatoes for $10 bucks

>Outside of the socialist liberal urban shitholes in the U.S., it's easier to start your own small business, which means that people are willing, and able, to make and sell their favorite regional cuisines.
What? "Urban shitholes" oftentimes have a huge variety of cuisines represented at various price points. Here in Southern California you can get pretty much any kind of food imaginable on the cheap and have enough selection to ensure that you can find a great place with good service. I realize you're speaking in general though and that does seem to be the case for most kinds of business.

>large scale corporate monopolies that buy out smaller competitors, and make it more difficult to succeed with a small business
This isn't as true as it once was. Mid-priced dine in chains are becoming less popular every year while their prices keep going up. Fast casual and smaller businesses are doing somewhat better in comparison.

That's true, but the good outweighs the bad, IMO.

What arrogance? The board is shit. Denying that is just baiting.

>oftentimes have a huge variety of cuisines represented at various price points.

Those urban shitholes don't give a fuck about the economy, and when people stop going out to eat as often, instead of lowering the tax rate to help the food service joints, they'll raise them to make up for the losses, and put them right out of business.

Not really, if anything I think capitalism or corporatism is at fault for most of the food related problems the USA gets shit for. The biggest one being the reliance on the big supermarket. Not to say that this is exclusive to the USA, but it's a lot more normal for a person outside to have a butchers, fruit and vegetable grocer, a bakery, in which they can get their respective ingredients/products from knowledgeable people who have dedicated their lives to their goods. The supermarket is like an afterthought for all the things you can't get from those.

>paprika on a lobster roll

Social comparison theory:

"I'm part of the group, but slightly better than the group.

Polorized idiot, go back to your containment board.

>Urban shitholes don't have the kind of restaurant diversity that Buttfuck, KS does!
>Yes they do.
>Okay yeah but MUH TAXES!!!!!!

Wow, I can feel America's greatness being made manifest again as you speak.

Melting pot of food cultures from a hundred different places tends to do that.

Honestly I have never been to a country with so many 'gardens of eden' as the US.. it is pretty incredible

It's probably old bay, bro.

People are still buying food from restaurants. What's changed is that now consumers are shifting towards fast casual and smaller businesses. The big noticeable decline is happening at the mid tier dine in level like I said. This is your Ruby Tuesdays and places like that. I don't see a significant change in net tax revenue from this and that's really going away from the point of this thread.

For me it's the döner kebab.

Northern europe has horribly bland food, it's depressing.

>superiority through diversity

/pol will never admit it, but this is true

/pol/ here, and I agree. American exceptionalism has always involved white people from diverse white backgrounds. Whether those white people were German, English, or Scottish, they contributed great things to this great white nation.

The culinary arts in Europe are directed to aristocratic clientelle, as opposed to the US, where culinary expertise is focused more on the middle class, which is accessible to a lot more people.

This is the only diversity that works, but shitskins can't tell the difference between English, German, French, Italian, or whatever, and just lump us all together as "whites", and then bitch about it when we do the same to their shitskin asses.

>Outside of the socialist liberal urban shitholes in the U.S., it's easier to start your own small business

Can't speak for Europe, but even rural areas in the U.S. are fucking impossible to deal with compared to Asia.

>worksafe board
>post picture of mom's vagina

That's not nice. What an awful board.

Well fucking cook what you want to eat then, you fat fucking spoon fed slob.

This is adorable

>mfw euros are missing out on great barbeque, great chili, great fried chicken, and great burgers solely because of their own fading sense of self importance

>literally cheating themselves out of trying delicious food because "EW AMERICANS"

All of Europe has horrible food, except Italy and the UK. Not their fault they are resource poor tho. Actually it is their fault, get some colonies you cucks

Europeans are delusional. This is not news.

There's also no standards in a lot of third world countries in asia so enjoy your worm infested soup that's been sitting out in the hot sun for hours that they cooked in the same pot they shit in

I'm glad it's harder to start a business in the US than some poo in loo roadside stand

Jesus Christ... I'm Canadian and a single avocado is $2.50 here... about 2 freedom dollars.

This. A lobster roll might not be the best way to show off lobster, but it's a great way to show off that you HAVE lobster. Same thing a hamburger is for beef. It's not that a burger is such a wonderful thing. The wonderful thing is that you have such cheap beef that grinding it up grilling/frying it and putting it in a sandwich seems like a good idea - that's the wonderful thing.

...

You yanks are touchy as fuck

Don't you have to pretend french food isn't awful somewhere jeremy

>Allergic to lobster
>Try and substitute lobster rolls with monkfish
>I will never know true joy

europe has shit taste

french
greek
italian
spanish

all shit cuisine, right? hahaha

>Why do the best have the best?

Only thing I'm jealous of are the various burger places and the shit they get in Subway.
I love European food... England has some amazing food I don't care what anyone says... I eat really well, and pretty healthy 90% of the time.
Can't beat shit like a giant Yorkshire pudding with a roast dinner in the middle of it, drowning in a gravy pool.

Picture related.

So you're saying intellectualism......is for fags?

>for no reason
Who is delusional now?

Ummmmmmm... Did you mean bull testical, bull testical (x2), pretty damn good, and slugs with stale bread?

Seriously though, America has all of that shit and more; essentially all that you could/would ever want.... So why tf would that be a valid point...?

Mainefag here

That's way too much lobster - I'm sure that was expensive too - just get a whole one

Have you ever been to Greece?

Whoa. Where do you get that?

>with the notable exception of Germanic countries

Germanic countries make shitty food. I feel bad you have such awful taste

>UK
>good food

>Whether those white people were German, English, or Scottish

These three countries all produce bad cuisine though. Best comes from other Euro countries
