i just cut spam into thick slices and eat with white rice.

it's inconceivable to me to eat spam any other way.

that's how my family does it and we eat when we're in the mood, regardless of groceries being in the house or not.

the only other variation i know is my mother puts some small plum tomatoes on the side.

Fried spam is so good. The best way to eat it is in thin, crispy slices with crumbled Gorgonzola on top. With a side of fries, it is the greatest hangover cure.

I love it as a lunch snack. Masubi is 10/10. I can only really stomach the low sodium spam though, it's just too much otherwise. Add in some spicy mayo for dipping and its perfect

Seriously though, I've been living in Hawaii 10 years and you quickly lose your hangups about it. My favorite is to fry it up, top my Mac n cheese with it, and then into the broiler. The spam gets this crispness that's compliments the creaminess of the cheese.

I was skeptical too but it's really not all that bad. Tastes like greasy hotdog basically. I wouldn't want to eat it every day or anything but it's alright if you have low standards.
