Tortilla Flat

What was the point of this book? Seemed like it didn't have much of a plot at all. Just friends being friends

welcome to the comfiest 20th century author

It's a retelling of Arthurian myth in a different setting.

i dropped that one but i'm digging cannery row which is pretty similar

Comfy Steinbeck > suffering porn Steinbeck

biblical steinbeck, you mean

Favourite Steinbeck books?

Mine is East of Eden. I liked the characters and the message it tried to convey.

I've been meaning to read this one. Cormac McCarthy says it's the best thing Steinbeck has ever written.

I read it too. Didn't see the big deal about it.

Right? God I love Steinbeck. I might just go back and read Cannery Row for the second time this week.

he's a fucking commie

Did anyone else find Tortilla Flat funny? I remember it being very funny.

Been awhile since I've read this but I don't remember laughing very much with this one. Although now that i'm remembering more of it I can see why

I had a couple of laughs.
This. It was great and light hearted.
