What is the best kind of rice and why is it basmati

what is the best kind of rice and why is it basmati

>he's clearly never had jasmine

seriously though it depends on what your doing with it. Thats why there are different kinds. Kinda like pasta.

nah basmati is like better jasmine
but jasmine is still better than most other ones

Side dish: Jasmine
Pilaf/Covered in sauce: Jasmine or Basmati

Jasmine wins

nah basmati is an excellent side dish on its own

Jasmine rice all day.

Arborio.

nah basmati rice all day

Arborio is best

Fuck your pleb taste buds. Jasmine has a sexier name anyways.

disneyfags are THIS MAD

Wild Rice is the best one, Jasmine is a close second

that looks fucking disgusting. if you wanna be healthy stop being a hipster faggot and eat something else

I prefer Jasmine. Both are good.

But it legitimately tastes the best out of any rice

Jasmine rice is the best
followed by sushi rice
THEN basmati on the third spot

I find it a bit too dry to eat alone. I used to, but then I got used to Jasmine and can't go back.

>waaaaaa it offends my tongue better sling baseless insults

My wife makes a lot of rice and she says jasmine is the best

I don't care for rice in general. I like bread or pasta better tbqh. Always been that way. I'm Korean no less. It disappoints my parents.

That's just pot pourri mate.

basmati is shit on its own, therefore it's shit because everything that needs something else to taste good is shit

it's really only loved by Indians who blast everything with ghee and salt, and white people whose opinions about food are pretty worthless anyway

Basmati has protein, so it's automatically better than Jasmine...HOWEVER I personally find jasmine rice to taste better (and it cooks in less time).

Why not both?

I unironically like wild rice. It's a seed so it's not rice technically but pilaf and wild rice are equally nice in the right application.

wild rice is actually really tasty, it just doesn't go with everything

How do people like jasmine rice? It's by far the worst. Inedible, really.

I've only made it twice but I followed the directions perfectly and it still turned out sticky and disgusting.

Basmati is my favorite by far.

>Your opinion against 20 others that says so
Kys

Calrose is the best kind.
