What did she mean by this?
I have never seen a guy do this
What's wrong with that, OP?
I'm going to kill myself
It works for small collections. Larger ones, it gets too unwieldy.
looks fucking sick.
>not organizing books by spine height
Fucking nerds lmao
>not organizing by author's first name
I organize by imprint
I honestly don't organize my books. they go on the shelf in order of when I purchased them and they go where ever I have room around the apt
I organize by font
>His books have exterior qualities to be sorted by
>They're not all uniformous yellow with black letters
German autism is unparalleled
I organize by social status of the author
I know this girl irl. She's stupid, also has a very popular channel on youtube. Gross.
oui, c'est ça.
First name??? FIRST NAME??
I hope to God this is bait
What'd the YT channel?
>she
the true patrician way
>It works for small collections
>it works
wat
>tfw wanted to order them by the first letter of the author's last name but have way too few books so just order them from big to small
>mfw sort by aura
>mfw no face
first by Genre/Historical Period, then spine height.
if my collection grows much more, however, I'll end up reorganizing by Genre, then Author.
I only have one full bookshelf, but i can still remember where each book is at a glance so I prefer prioritizing aesthetics
My books don't even come in those colours.
I couldn't even make a rainbow if I was enough of an idiot to want to.
Country of origin, then author's name alphabetically
No, it looks fucking disgusting and tacky.
You don't have any NYRB Classics?
Categorization is meant to help you find shit better, you dumbfucks. The only reason libraries and book stores categorize by genre and author name is because it's a universal constant. But if you're the only one perusing your own collection, you organize the way you want. Retards.
Pantone color?
Is that how the color names are kept standardized for alphabetizing?
This.
I wish there was just one standard format for hardback and one for paperback and everything by an author that isn't alive had to be printed in that format.
>Not throwing your books away after you finish them so you always have space in your library
It's like you guys don't even read
Just cover them with brown paper bags and cardboard.
Rainbows don't really work in any color palette. They always look rather childish. It's also the least practical organizational sceme I can imagine.
How do you even have enough variety in cover colors to sort them sufficiently? Do you actually buy books based on their colors?
Jesus.
Once you have over a thousand books, you're very likely to have a decent spread of colors. Brown, black and white are usually over-represented, but there's going to be a pink or two too.
No, some of us just have a lot of square footage to store books in.
eugh
What a beautiful lady. I'd dance with her at a ball.
I'd use her as a hole for me to fuck, like the whore she probably is.
