I "collect" nice words, I like using them for calligraphy. These are some of my favorite:
Ardour
Eclectic
Majuscule
Pleut (french)
my favorite word is alacrity. i like celerity as well.
but for sonority, i find the adjectival form, alacritous, even better, as the open vowel on the end seizes on the clicking leaps from c to t better than the shrillness of y. an archaic form is alacrious, which drops the t, and loses the click—but this smoother form seems to suggest something different about the word: it is a shift in emphasis from speed to eagerness, i think (the noun denoting senses of both)
lugubrious
feels like a fancy word to define way I feel most of the time.
that is a very nice sounding word; it feels like a crisp and smooth click, like a buckling spring or a well-lubed pistol trigger

I'm a total pleb, but I can't bring myself to speak the word 'flesh' in public. It always feels dirty, the way to rolls of the tongue.
>aah, my flesh
>right in the flesh
>by the flesh of my teeth
>flesh cream
i think you're onto something
Yeah you are a pleb. "flesh" is an excellent word, as is "thresh." I should have thought to put both on my list.
