Having intestinal issues, in bathroom with major pains

>having intestinal issues, in bathroom with major pains
>"switch to a high fibre diet so you can pass with less pain"
>start eating whole grains, grapes, pears, etc
>cant poop for 2 days
>when i do it hurts worse than before

Get off the methadone, you fucking degenerate.

Keep going. It only gets darker before the light

If you have inflamed intestines, yes - fiber will fuck your shit up

I was trying to go for softer passes, they said fiber keeps it soft, but apparently it just makes you constipated. I might as well try some miralax instead of killing myself with high fiber

Funny to read this because when I switched to a high fiber content from grains, I had the most "painful" shits.

The high fiber meme is only a meme for grains, because the real fiber is from vegetables. They use the high fiber shit to sell grains.

Soluble fiber like oats - yes, it might help a little
Insoluble fiber - for fragile intestines, that's like dragging sandpaper across them

so stick with grapes and fruits and spinach?
im done with whole grain breads for a while

> Insoluble fiber offers many benefits to intestinal health, including a reduction in the risk and occurrence of hemorrhoids and constipation

I saw that and thought, hmm this could be better, but instead it was the opposite. I dont even eat unhealty normally - .eggs/toast breakfast, ham sandwich lunch, maybe small serving pasta for dinner or a pbj sandwich

You also have to drink water retard

>so stick with grapes and fruits and spinach?
no.. use a random assortment of fruits and vegetables, don't just stick to a few things.

Cabbage works real well for me.

Buy MRE's
Eat nothing but them.

Fiber is not a coherent class of compounds. Some fiber is laxative, some does nearly nothing, some is fermentable, some may be constipating in some people, and so on.

If you have intestinal issue with severe pain, you should have a doctor check that out instead of playing voodoo doctor with your diet.

If your shits are painful because of constipation then some fiber may help and others may make it worse. However, the first thing to do is to identify the cause of the constipation and whether it is IBS or something else, such as (autoimmune) inflammation. In many cases you have to be a bit more careful with the fiber you consume and also don't just switch up your diet within a day.

For example, this study found an improvement in IDIOPATHIC constipation on a very-low-fiber diet
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3435786/

However, this study suffers from the same problem of treating fiber as a coherent class of compounds, which it is not.

For example, wheat bran is considered a laxative and works as a laxative in the great majority of people with constipation. Wheat bran is mostly non-fermentable and seems to promote intestinal propulsion through bulking and stimulation.

One recently identified cause of idiopathic constipation is colonization by methanogens (Methanobrevibacter smithii, archae and not bacteria). The methane they produce may directly cause constipation according to some research. The methane is produced when they metabolize the gases and other metabolic products produced by other species of bacteria within the gut. Bacteria in the gut produce gases when they ferment fermentable fiber.
This means that fiber may cause constipation not because fiber "causes" constipation in everybody but because the gut microbiome of the particular person is diseased.

In case you have IBS, such a problem may come from gluten-containing grains (containing fructans), the pears you mentioned (high in sorbitol and free fructose)

I've been to the doctor, I know I have crohns, and its in a flare up right now. I also have recal fissures which make any bathroom visit extremely painful. The goal of the diet change was to get soft passes so the fissures dont tear me up 5 times a day.

that said, thanks for the fiber information. i regressed back to my old diet again, and will ease back into a new diet. This crohns sucks, I havent been this sick since my last flare in 2005. i'm on a ton of meds but they all take time work, and time is not on my side

Oh OK, it sounded in the OP like this may be an unknown or new problem. In your case I would certainly consider a regular medical laxative (PEG/Macrogol) over experimentation with fiber, insofar as the doctor approves. Macrogol will always stay liquid due to its high binding capacity for water, so it will certainly produce soft poos at the right dosage. Then if you have that under control you can still try gradually adding some fiber and see what happens

It takes a while to get used to more fiber. I regularly eat 100+ grams of fiber a day, after a period of keto where I was eating maybe 10, and for the first two weeks or so I had trouble.

>I also have recal fissures

1. don't eat rice
2. drink coffee
3. stay hydrated.
4. whole grain bread is good.

I read this while taking a nice easy shit and now I'm glad that something so simple is not an issue for me. Thanks, guy

Enjoy it, the day you have a swollen/cut up sphincter muscle is the day you realize you use that muscle for EVERYTHING. Sitting, standing, walking down stairs, coughing, sneezing, bending over, gaining balance, laughing, going up stairs... it sucks when it hurts

google flea seeds

french onion soup makes me poo it out like 4 hours later. i can tell its the soup because my poo smells exactly like french onions soup.

eat some french onion soup

okay ill add it to my list

>retard eats like retard
>eats healthy food for a day
>garbage stuck to the walls of intestines tear off, garbage finally starts getting painfully washed out
>OMG THIS HEALTHY EATING SHIT IS BULLSHIT!!!! I QUIT!!!!

every time

Assuming you don't have one of the weird GI issues where fiber makes things worse (I do), you need to gradually increase fiber. I recommend magnesium citrate for acute constipation.

drink more water

Get some magnesium citrate, I've had to evacuate my bowels before and this will definitely do the trick. BUT take a few tsp's every hour and see what happens, I drank a whole bottle and pissed out my ass for 6 hours straight.

How did you ruin your asshole? I'd like to know so I can never become like you.

Anal play, not even joking

How extreme was the play?

this
>tfw glorious high fiber shits
>no wipe, passes beautifully
had nasty ass shits for about a week when my fiber uptake increased, but it leveled out. had lots of kefir and yogurt to keep the gut flora good

Metamucil Original Coarse Fiber Powder

metawellness.com/en-us/products/metamucil-fiber-supplement/metamucil-original-coarse-powder

I take 4 teaspoons a day.

2 teaspoons for lunch and 2 teaspoons for dinner.

I prefer Original because it is pretty much flavorless.

I hate the orange flavor metamucil is usually lumped with which is a shame since Costco only carries the Orange flavored Metamucil instead of Original.

>copious water
>porn n beans
>steamed broccoli
>grapefruit
>instant oatmeal (most shredded grains)

Food I naturally love keeps me shitting smooth. Avoid cheese and dairy products.

Very

Pics?

Do you guys drink around 9 glass of water a day? Is 9 glass a day overkill?

>glutens

explain yourself

you need veggies you fucking heathen

Guess I'm lucky I'm not into extreme anal play. Thanks for sharing. All things considered, was it worth it?

Psyllium husk and greek yoghurt. Not trying to sound like a quack, but it's a combo that did wonders for my IBS

OP here. that wasnt me. I have crohns that has been slowly flaring up despite my medications. I had a two week bout of dense poop which caused me to strain alot. for a while it didnt cause any damage, but about 3 weeks ago I noticed it was painful to go, then it slowly got worse. doctor thinks I have crohns on my ass now instead of just in the intestine. I have an MRI and colon scope scheduled for the next few weeks to see

Dried figs (3-4 per day), meussli for breakfast, and 400 mg Magnesium Taurate each night.

Been doing this for years my poops have never been better in my entire life.

Also drink a lot of water. You can also try getting one of those toilet stools that you prop your feet up on to resemble the squatting position - make a habit of using it

ive been considering it

Eat plain yogurt with active probiotics and some fruit for breakfast, as it helps restore balance to your tract. Make your own sauerkraut and eat it without cooking and killing off the enzymes that allowed it to ferment, as it will help as well.

Costco sells Squatty Potty 2 pack.

it isn't too pleasant but take a spoonful of olive oil with each meal. mix it in or take it straight. i know it sounds stupid but i have very fucking severe hemerhoids and since trying out the olive oil my shits have passed with relative ease and minimal irritation.

Did you up your water intake? Take a stool softener and drink plenty of water - then when you are all clear go off the stool softener and see if you can go.

Eat things with lots of seeds like tomatoes, cantaloupe, whole grain mustard, watermelon, raspberries, blackberries, etc.

highly recommended, a squat stool changed my goddamn life
why the fuck would you need a 2-pack though

More than one toilet?

Banana and water

I've tried so many positions but this may help the most. sometimes i lean to the side, or pull my cheeks apart to minimize skin contact, or lift up one left and angle.

my poop is too acidic? i think, when it comes through it burns when it passes the weak skin of my skin tags and butt. the burning goes away but after 20 minutes or so
