Webfiction is any original work of fiction that is published solely online and is free. It is not usually fanfiction, although there are a few exceptions.

Worm parahumans.wordpress.com/ A superpowered teenager goes out to fight crime for the first time, and through a strange series of events finds herself falling in with a group of villains.
Unsong unsongbook.com/ In the late 1960s, the Apollo 8 rocket to the moon was launched. As stranger things begin happening, it becomes apparent that the Judeo-Christian creation myth was true, and the divine is returning to the world. The story follows a professional Kabbalist, who works as an office drone for a company that researches the divine names of god, which when spoken have a specific effect on the universe, and copyrights them so they can sell them for profit
Fine Structure qntm.org/structure Every year, a random person on Earth is struck by lightning and gains superpowers. Each new superhuman is twice as powerful as the previous one. This has been going on for ten years. Side note: despite the description, this is pretty high concept sci-fi, so if you enjoy that give it a try.

Ryan Bennett
This is pretty fascinating. Thanks!
Adrian Walker
tvtropes has some amazing fanfiction recommendations
you missed the point, lad. most fanfiction doesn't fit the bill because they aren't completely original works.
Easton Turner
The guy who wrote worm wrote another good story, Pact, and he's in the middle of writing a third, Twig. He has a really low internet profile for a guy who makes $2700/mo on Patreon for writing.
Daniel Wood
I love rationalist-adjacent webfiction but why is it your only examples of webfiction? Just say you wanna have a rationalfic thread if that's all you're familiar with
Japanese web novels are webfiction, for Christ's sake.
That's the link to the podcast part of the website. It's all free and I have maybe six listeners, so let me know what you think. I'd really appreciate it.
Lucas Hernandez
Are you planning to do a periodic podcast or are they just going to be up whenever you get around to them?
Carter King
Anyone have tips for writing one of these? I'm doing one right now, but it suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I'm going through with it and publishing a chapter weekly because I want to actually finish a damn story for once, even if no one's reading it. I honestly don't get how people do it. Most of the stuff I write that's not total crap comes out when I edit the chapters. I'm gonna turn it into a book when i'm finished, so I just tell myself to keep writing and I'll fix stuff later. Is there any trick to consistently putting out good chapters?
James Ortiz
Biweekly for about 10 episodes. The next one drops in about a week and a half. I've already written everything, I just record them when I have time and the biweekly schedule gives me more than enough time. I'm actually fairly used to working under strict deadlines, so don't worry about getting into it and then me bailing three episodes in. If you've already checked it out, then thanks.

Well, here's my site too: aimfiction.com
I write Japan-inspired stories, this is Veeky Forums after all, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to be bad on purpose. Some books you can download for free, some cost a few bucks.
Evan Wood
homstuck is the ulysses of the internet :v)
Jayden Hughes
Whoa dude Do you make decent money doing this?
Christian Lopez
Not at all. But I can't stop.
Owen Moore
Had the same fucking reaction.
Dylan Cruz
Go read Mother of Learning. It's a pretty good timeloop story.
I enjoyed it, but it is the epitome of mary sue. Does an adequate job of accomplishing what the writer set out to do, however.
Samuel Ramirez
Holy fuck is this real?
Colton Brown
worm is amazing, cannot reccomend enough.
Jaxson Miller
How long have you been writing, my dude?
Your words come through as wanting to create a picture in the readers' minds, I will give you that!
Bentley Martin
I've been writing silly crap ever since I was a kid, but only got serious about it around four years ago. Thanks for the compliment. I try to take a different approach every time, so each story is a bit of an experiment.

Just finished Worm today. Do Twig and Pact at least somewhat measure up? also, when's the publisher/ebook/tvseries/cinematic universe?
John Murphy
Pact was a flop for me. I didn't like the main character.
I've heard Twig is excellent from a lot of people, but I couldn't get into it after reading the first several chapters.
