How could you improve a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?
I looked online and saw a few obvious suggestions like fresh fruit, bacon, waffles/pancakes and shit but lets try to think a little outside the box
I was thinking of adding black pepper but i'm not hungry right now so maybe i'll update later.

If you want to go full autismo (of course, I know you do) you need four slices of bread, to give a total of six internal surfaces of which each filling will be spread on two non-contacting surfaces.
Yes, I know, this actually tastes absolutely amazing.
Eli Campbell

Keep it classic. White bread, not toasted. Lotsa PB, lotsa jelly. Smush. Eat.

I've occasionally created a double-decker with a toasted slice of bread in the middle. It's nice, but not as good as just grilling it.
If you want some added saltiness and texture, toss some Ritz crackers in there. Also works with PB and fluff, obviously. I suppose saltines would work well, too.

1. Use home made bread. 2. Use home made peanut butter made from unsalted roasted peanuts. 3. Use fresh fruit sauted in a pan with a touch of butter instead of HFCS garbage jelly.
Done.

Brioche or Hawaiian Bread/Roll Classy peanut butter (think Peanut butter & Co) Good quality jam that isn't cloyingly sweet (doesn't have to be berry or could be preserves not jam) Baste with butter Lightly fry on each side

Add some chedder cheese. Like, I know it sounds strange but cheese naturally compliments jam and nuts anyway.
Personally, I only do this if I'm ravished though because you're making a 600kcal sandwich before you even start adding the cheese.
Justin Martin
I'm totally going to make this at my restaurant. I get fresh local blueberries. Peanut butter bread pudding with some hot blueberry jam over the top. Yum. Thanks for the inspiration

Remove jelly, add sliced bananas
Remove bread, just mix peanut butter and jelly with flour egg salt baking soda water then fry in pan. Substitute jelly for bananas and you'll have a meal that can sustain you for at least 2 years that costs literally pennies per meal, it's basically all I ate in grad school.
Make it in a flour or corn tortilla. Tortillas are so much better than bread since you will never get a nasty glop of shit that falls out of the back end. You'll also not get soggy bread. Also no crust. Much easier to make and transport.
Microwave it for like 15 30 seconds. Faster than grilling, just warms it up a bit so you can inhale it faster.
Put a fried egg in it. Peanut butter and eggs is actually really nice.
