You fell for the fantasy books meme, fellow redditor? :^)

It serves the same purpose as any other type of media, with the benefit of being cheaper and more enjoyable.

Lolita is my personal favorite and I love this.

(technically an edit of some other rather than OC tbf)

I have laughed out loud literally every time I have come across this image, or ones about Plato generally. I picture my classics professor, an old, little white lady shouting "BY ZEUS!" She never did, but I can picture it so clearly.

Not a bad idea tbqh faŠ¼

He read the bible, he expected silliness, he got shirt ripping

How is that book? Any good or just weird ramblings of a social misfit?

Bumperino to keep the thread alive .Here's an old one of mine, new come one coming fresh out of the oven any minute now, it's going to be my Magnum Opus.

It's a 10/10. Well worth reading. He's very persuasive in his arguments.

these are great

It's done lads, my Magnum Opus. Now I can retire from life.

...

It was comfy, though.

I haven't read yet, what's the joke supposed to be?

idk, the Caesar's a bit corny

Someone post the Korn version

kek

...

It probably discusses agriculture a lot.

explain?

Pretty good

ooh snaap

...

What I expected is actually really derivative, I'm afraid I've seen that one somewhere else and unconsciously copied it

There's an odd amount of ripping up of ones clothes in the bible. Especially when bad things happen.

some /pol/tards think her father wrote it

Just getting started on this, pretty excited. You like it? How'd you find the Middle English?

It's that good, eh?
Might have to check it out now.

...

Both pannels apply desu

I thought it was an accepted fact that her father edited parts and removed all the more intimate or sex-related bits

Yes, he did edit it.
The question, of course, is: how much did he (((edit)))?

>biology is fedora

the name dawkins will trigger an innate response in ANYONE and i mean anyone to associate what he writes with new atheism

...

elaborate please

Is it even possible your expectation to be even remotely close to what the actual novel is?

...

This is pretty unnerving
What is it

nvm this is better

...

...

You got me to chuckle

Pretty spot on. Maybe with a starving man added in as well

The culprit is so close I can almost taste it.

He does make jabs towards religion throughout that book though.

rending of garments

Probably. And a pack of dirty cigarrares.

Underrated

...

Serious answer: a lot of Caesar's efforts in Gaul dealt with keeping his legion supplied and well-fed, and corn was a typical staple food during the era

corn wasn't introduced to the Old World until the 15th century

Everytime.

pls explain

Corn is an old word meaning grain

It only came to apply to maize colloquially later

Old translations of Caesar constantly reference "corn" because it was common when they were translated to still use corn to mean any grain store, not just maize, and Caesar has a lot to say about his grain stores

Someone posted a "what I expected" thing with pictures of MAIZE corn and people replied to it

This became a self-aware meme where it's ambiguous who gets it and who is just pretending not to get it etc.

contribooting

That book made me want to own an actual sheep.
