I feel like people who don't like pickles are bad people
People who don't like pickles are just children
I fucking love pickles

Never had one. They seem kinda gross.
Pickle Rick general?
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers that Peter Piper picked?
I live in India. We have god tier pickles. Love most of em
Started a garden this year so I can pickle cucumbers and peppers. I am pretty hyped for it.
Tru is a god-tier brand.
too salty, off my low salt diet now. love them. salty pickles are fun. ps they are supposed to be salty not vinegary. a half and half pickle is part brined, part vinegared.
Pickled anything is excellent.
no. indian pickles are horrible. way too salty, spicy and oily. bitter, nasty. as i said, i cant eat, but bubbies are salty and crunchy. and raw pickled veggies, like raw sauerkraut, have acidophilus etc in them, good for you, breaks down the bad stuff in some veggies.
Also poo in loo
didn't like them as a kid, now way into them. I really like a lot of pickled things that arent cucumbers
Such as beets or some cauliflower with some turmeric.
also spicy pickles are fire
pickled cabbage salad is good
How many calories does pickling add?
Will I gain weight if I mindlessly chomp on pickled celery since it has barely any calories?
Stop posting when you're drunk, Mr. Harmon.
Indian pickles are not consumed like how the western world consumes them . You're supposed to take as little as possible . It's there to enhance the flavour . Plus there are like 100s of different types of Indian pickles.
>hmm, this will do
not the calories you need to worry about, it's the sodium
Don't Care, just wanna stop being chubby so I can wear overpriced designer clothes
you're fine then, the amount of calories in pickled veggies is negligible
wow, that was some tim and eric shit
ohhhh...
i had a jar of indian mango pickles and ate them all even though they were making my teeth feel funny and tasted too strong and it made me throw up
i guess that is why...
A family of 4 would consume it for like a year. You crazy man
Pickled anything is great. Onions, green beans, asparagus. Add in shit like Kim chi, I don't understand why people don't like food like that. Pickling has a long history
I like pickles and most pickled foods. They need to be the specific type of pickle to go with different dishes. I like bread and butter pickles with bbq, pickled banana peppers with pork chops, pickled jalapenos with cheap "nacho" cheese sauce, kosher dill on a cuban sandwich, etc.
> I don't understand why people don't like food like that
Find me one example of a real human bean saying they dont like pickles.
lol, tim and eric wish they were Tom Rubnitz
*BOOM*
big reveal
Some people prefer their cucumbers pickled.
Love em provided they meet the following criteria: must be crunchy rock solid texture and tangy without being vinegary. Store bough ones that tick both of these boxes are hard to find.
It's weird. I love pickled peppers, olives, asparagus, artichoke hearts, giardineria... But cucumbers have been no-go, to the point of making sure they're not on my burgers.
Try putting a little but in a stew, or mixing a small with cream cheese and put it on a bagel
Pickled ginger is my shit
cucumber kimchi is nice
I feel that the bite of pickles in a burger is the best bite you can get out of it.
Prove me wrong if you can.
Spicy baby carrot pickles give me hope inside.
Hnnnng. Me want now.
Pickled vegetables are good
Pickeling anything other than a vegetable is weird and gross
What are you talking about? Corned beef is pickled meat and it's wonderful.
>Corned
>pickeled
Nice try genius those are 2 different words
Bread and Butter chips >>> Relish spears
>corned beef is pickled
How's it different? It uses salt, sugar and a bunch of pickling spices in the brine. It sits in the brine for 2 weeks. Sure sounds like a vegetable pickling to me.
Now I have to go to the fucking store and buy some! Fuck you OP!
I'll do it, I swear!
In Poland people pickle basicly everything, vegetables, mushrooms, fish. It's great.
There. You fucking happy now?
Damn, those would be top tier gourmet pickles in the US. Are those just an average brand in your country?
>cured meat is pickled
nu-Veeky Forums
I think those are an import from Poland. Let me check. Yep. Poland. Cheaper than the rest of them. I just liked the fact that there was some chilli in it, so it is nice and spicy.
You /picklerick/ bro?
thespruce.com
"The brine for making corned beef is similar to the brine used for making pickles. Thus, it's fair to say that corned beef is essentially pickled beef."
en.m.wikipedia.org
"In North America, corned beef typically comes in two forms, a cut of beef (usually brisket, but sometimes round or silverside) cured or pickled in a seasoned brine, cooked, and canned, or tinned."
Apology forthcoming, when?
This. I think that because we are still pretty second world tier we still get nice things like that. I worked abroad and the lack of a proper pickle culture or 'warzywniaks' (veg and fruit only corner shops) sucked. Polish food, when tweaked, is pretty healthy (e.g. mizeria).
Polish food is great in Poland. Too bad that you mostly export garbage to your neighbors.
I was in Poland last summer and I can tell you that food that you sell in your own country, even with the same brand and the same name, taste a lot differently than what you can buy in a shop in other countries.
Sheltered children raised by wealthy but single mothers.
>corned beef
Might want to research what actual corned beef is.
How many pickles can you fit in your butthole Veeky Forums?
You talking to me?
What the fuck is this shit? We Veeky Forums now?
This can't be happening, I thought Veeky Forums was a family board.
that explains a lot, I put a heaping teaspoon of Indian pickle mix on my plate at a buffet and it was mind blowing salty, every small bite felt like shoveling a teaspoon of salt into my mouth
Pickled garlic. Spicy pickled garlic. Garlic stuffed olives. All delicious.
10/10
my granny still home-grows and -jars her own pickles. sweet, dill, spicy, she makes all sorts and they're all delicious. one of the highlites of visiting her during christmas is taking home a fuckton of jars of pickles.
fpbp
I love most pickled things, how bout sauerkraut?
This. Mexican hot carrots are so good.
I hope you study what she does so you can carry on the tradition. People in the US are beginning to recognize the value of escaping the corporate net in terms of processing their own food for storage.
It looks like he did, and provided sources
3 things:
My BF and I ate 3 big jars of pickles in the last 5 days.
I bought cheaper pickles yesterday and I feel bad because they're not as crunchy as the other ones.
And lastly, pickles are the cure for cotton mouth.
I fucking love pickles.
My uncle can make pickled eggs in 3 days that taste like theyve been pickling for 2 weeks, he went to jail so ill probably never get to eat those again.
