How do you make your grilled cheese? What brands and type of cheeses do you use?

How do you make your grilled cheese? What brands and type of cheeses do you use?

>grilled
>frying pan
Retard.

>that thing
you americans really like that procesed "cheese"

*processed

First, you have to buy a cow.

heat on medium
butter pan
throw in bread
two kraft singles or kraft pepperjack singled
throw on other bread
wait five minutes
take out
butter pan again
flip and put back in the 3 minutes
cut in half
put in fridge for 50 seconds
eat

butter one side of processed white sandwich bread
place butter side down in pan you forgot to preheat
1 or 2 slices of kraft/velveeta and a couple halved strips of leftover bacon on top
butter another slice of bread and place it butter side up on top
cook until black on one side and golden brown on the other
pair with can of soup containing no less than 3 days of recommended sodium intake and enjoy

...

>brand cheese

do americans really do that???

god i wish that were me

>putting something hot in the fridge
Do Americans actually do this

kek. shitty yuropoor fridges can't cool hot food

ON THE HEAT

OFF THE HEAT

What a ridiculous statement.
Are you feeling ok?

American cheese is more nutrient rich than regular cheese.
It also makes infinitely superior grilled cheese

>which brands
There can be only one.

Cheddar

But I'd rather have a hot ham and cheese than grilled cheese.

>butter both sides
>jack, swiss, then jack again for cheese
>Medium heat for maximum toasty
>after the flip, apply lid to ensure melted cheese
>90 seconds
>cut serve
>also tomato basil soup

I mean it's fucking grilled cheese, it's not complicated.

I use a foreman grill and whatever cheese I feel like eating at the moment.

>I buy my cheese off the streets

Rye bread & Swiss is good, also white with mozzarella

I like to put onion between the cheese, but at that point it's a cheese and onion sandwich

That's not a grilled cheese, that's a melt you fucking retard.

I actually spread mayo on the outside of the sandwich

mayo is literally egg and oil, so it fries up nicely and serves kinda like an egg wash

also it's not as terrible for you like butter and still tastes fucking amazing

You're a fucking melt, user.

Butter isn't bad for you.

i put two eggs in the bread and leave the yolks runny and use cheddar and/or pepper jack cheese. Gotta use plenty of butter on all sides of the bread and let each side fry before adding the eggs or cheese.

Sourdough bread
Velveeta cheese
Amish butter

What is this from? I thought I saw a thread where someone said it was from a movie?

I'm american and I've never met someone who does this

It's a decent movie about relationships. It has some food porn but it's not really about food, it's more about realizing what is important in life.

>2.99 for that

I am sorry for the shit hole part of the state's that has to pay that much.

That said, grilled cheese is the ONLY product that using decent processed cheese (not that shit for pic related) where it can go toe to toe with traditional cheese

>Take cheddar, mozz, and swiss
>Slice thin
>Place directly in to lightly buttered pan
>Butter bread
>Take out cheese when slightly melty
>Put between two pieces of bread
>Put in to panini press
>Press
>Serve with pickled peppers on the side
Wala

>doesn't like Kraft slices for burgers/grilled cheese
Where did you get your pleb tastes? Kraft slices are the best. Fuck off with your velveeta shit.

>There are people who put butter on the bread/pan instead of mayo
Some anons don't know what they are missing

Yeah, some know what the fuck they're doing.

Thanks I do know what I'm doing. I like to think of myself as a gourmand

>butter bread
>put in toaster
>slap Kraft single between them
Easy peasy.

>does use Kraft slices for grilled cheese

That is the very definition of plebian, you worthless peasant.

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

>buys a boutique brand of processed american cheese.
That's not just plebian that is retarded.

I make mine with a panini press and I use Beecher's Flagship, Just Jack, and a local rustic bread.

risk of mold increasing as well...

>pan at medium, quick shot of olive oil spray
>toast bread until slightly crunchy, maybe add butter
>arrange with 2 slices of swiss/cheddar and fry for 4-5 min. a side
>cut in half, serve with chips
fuck that fake processed singles shit desu

i don't make grilled cheese, more like toasted cheese
>2 slices of fiber 1 multigrain
>toasted until they start to crisp
>put 2 slices of cheese on each of them bitches, usually american (not the kraft singles bullshit like in OPs pic) or pepperjack cheese
>back in toaster oven until the cheese is nice and melty
>put the 2 pieces together, back in for a little while
>flip every 30-60 seconds, occasionally rotating to account for uneven heating
comes out perfect every time. crispy on the outside without making the bread hard, and nice and melted on the inside.
