Put butter in pan, let it melt a bit, toast it on both sides
Take it out, put pan on medium-low, make sure there's some butter on the bottom.
Crack 2 eggs in pan.
Cover pan.
Wait a few minutes until egg is white (yolk should still be runny)
Take egg off of pan, put on toasted bread
Salt + pepper

Alternatively:

Toast bread same way with pan
Make scrambled eggs w/ salt + pepper
Put on toast

You can add ketchup or mustard to both but why?

Forgot to say you should toast the bread first, not the butter.
