What Japanese food is a must try? My experience with their cuisine is pretty much only miso soup and sushi and I'll be visiting Tokyo next week. I got on my list
Don't try natto, you won't like it Yakisoba(pan) Tonkatsu Beef bowl like gyuudon Udon, basically a thicker ramen

And to add to this guy, (sweet potato) shochu

katsudon

Honestly you'd be able to get most of those foods in an major metropolitan area. I'd go with: >Kaiseki >real authentic 100% Japanese sushi >high quality Junmai sake >uni >wagyu beef
Brandon Rogers
Fuck katsudon, get some kitsunedon
Robert Lee
I really want to try unagi, the glaze makes it look so appetising and apparently it's pretty delicious for how simple it is
