If you stop making a comparison to other low wage slaves, what I wrong with any person making an amount of money legally and fairly through whatever means he is capable of?

Once you realize there is nothing wrong with someone earning any amount of money for their labor, you will realize that it is only sad that the low wage chef isn't paid more for his labor. Tho low wage is allowed because no one has legislated or regulated a better wage, for a low skilled work force that would have an almost impossible time unionizing across such a diverse industry with thousands and thousands of companies.

The interesting thing is, if you raised chef wages and that increased menu prices (not that there is any indication that's the case - it could just impact investment profit of the capital owner) those increased menu prices would make home cooking more attractive, which could lead to higher viewership and pay for people on YouTube that make instructional cooking vids.

I used to watch FN a lot too, but lately I've noticed that they're not very good anymore. A lot of shows are just competition things where you won't really learn anything because they have gimmicks like "use this unusual ingredient that you'll never use at home" or "make cupcakes with pork in it".

If it's not that, I've noticed even with the regular cooking shows that they aren't very good. I mean they have some basic skill but I just always notice mistakes in what they do and it seems like they only get shows because they've built up a base of followers who will buy stuff with their name on it and not because of their cooking skill.

Yeah honestly most of their cooking shows are just as bad as the gimmicky youtube channels. It's hard to find informational videos on specific techniques or basic cooking skills other than books, and most people would rather watch a youtube video for free than invest in a $30 Julia Childs cookbook.

Do you have any kind of creative hobbies or outlets? I felt like you say you do but painting, making music, etc. and just talking to people helped a lot. Even just talking to other people anonymously through Veeky Forums helped a lot. I hope things get better for you.

I've noticed a fair bit of content on Veeky Forums comes from reddit and vice versa. Reddit is fine if you just browse specific interest subs, and stay off the main page. The main page is okay if you just want to see cat gifs or political propaganda, but specific interest subs on reddit are better than Veeky Forums. Veeky Forums is too focused on bullying. You can also sort comments by time posted too.
