Something that confuses me about the Freestyle machines. So if you get say a raspberry Fanta, is that orange Fanta mixed with raspberry or some neutral Fanta base flavored raspberry?

It's the way to go. I don't drink soda very often, but I like cutting a lemon into wedges, and giving your drink a squirt. On ice cubes. The lemon cuts down on the sweetness of the cola.

This might sound silly, but I'm currently trying to create a recipe that approximates the taste of Nuka-Cola (17 different fruit flavors!).

Currently, my latest attempt consists of 2/3s Coca-Cola with 1/3 of a mixture of Fanta flavors. It tastes nice, though I'm thinking of adding some vanilla to smooth out the acrid edges. Any suggestions?

I have to deal with one of this fucking things at work at they are absolutely the worst things ever.
For those of you that don't know its all boxes of syrup, about the size of a poptart pack, each one is like 40 dollars. They last for about 2 weeks for popular drinks.

Do you know what the Fanta base syrup is? Is it just carbonated sugar water or is there something else in there? I assume the latter or else raspberry Fanta would be no different from raspberry Sprite or whatever.

The Fanta Base is just a clear Sugar Syrup with the Fanta Tanginess to it, it does not have the orange flavor in it. The base is mixed with the Generic flavor that comes with the machine, like Orange or Raspberry. That's how you get it.
Like the same Orange flavor that is used in all of the other drinks is the same that goes into the Fanta. Like if you want Orange in your Coka Cola its the same flavoring.

So that's how they add flavours to the base sodas. All this time, I thought they were using the same syrup as their bottled sodas.
If that's the case, do you think they mix syrups in the same ratio as their bottled counterparts? Furthermore, does the machine mix different bases with different ratios of fruit syrup (i.e. does Coke Cherry have less cherry flavour than its Fanta counterpart?).

This. FUCK FREESTYLE MACHINES. I now have to ask if an establishment has freestyle machines so I can take my business elsewhere, because these bullshit single spout machines ruin drinks unless you have a five year old's palate.

Yeah, a hundred different flavours going through a single spout is going to make anything you order taste funny.

The only positive- admittedly a big positive, but still just the one- is the capability to make customised drinks for much less cost and hassle compared to buying dozens of bottles or investing in a Sodastream for home use, especially if the establishment it's in has a free-refill policy. Thus, I just go with the flow and try options I'm not likely to get elsewhere.

The biggest issue with a liquor vending machine is that it is illegal in pretty much every state to serve a visibly intoxicated person. Obviously this isn't always enforced perfectly, but it is a law.

We had one of these at the fast food place I worked at in high school. We had a favorite flavor for each soda, but the best of all IMO is Vanilla Sprite.

I have seen something like that at one bar, basically you get a bracelet after starting a tab then you use that with pic related to pour yourself beer from the glasswarr underneath the taps. They charge those per ounce. Seen wine shops do the same concept as well, but this is yhe onlu place I had ever seen self serve beer.

Liquor would be impossible to enforce since patrons can't legally be served more than 3oz at a time. Unless the taps are designed to automatically stop after a certain amount is poured, but it would be way too impractical to be worthwhile. So stick with a bartender and stop being such a faggot
