How do you cook sweet potato in your country?

i never notice that skin of potato looks like skin of lizard until now

I like to boil them whole for 2-5 minuets. Then cut them up, add salt and spices and a touch of peanut oil. Then just eat them.

With syrup

Southeast USA checking in, we usually either bake them into sweet dessert pies, or bake them and top them with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. We use the orange variety of sweet potato though.

You just don't. We have polish potatoes.

put it in a 375F oven for an hour or so.

A potato that is sweet?
Sounds disgusting. I'll stick to normal potatoes.

dice
boil couple of minutes
finish in oven

They're delicious, and not sugary sweet like beets or even carrots. I prefer in place of white/yellow potatoes for most dishes. They're also slightly healthier and less starchy.

My favorite way of eating them is to lube 'em up in olive oil, wrap them in aluminium foil and bake them in the oven for about an hour or so. Split it open and eat it with some cayenne and a sprinkle of flake salt. So good as a meal replacement.

poke it with a fork several times

microwave it

>wrap them in aluminium foil

Why do you hate crispy skin so much?

I don't want the potato to get dried out in my oven.

They don't dry out. The skin of the potato sees to that.

Treat them like VIP roast spuds.
Parboil them then put them on a baking tray with your preferred roasting fat, and then coat them in honey.
Roast until the skins go black and bubbly.
No, they are not burnt. They are delicious. (And they don't dry out.)

Cut them the same as if you're making chips.
Just fry them on a lower heat for longer. Pic related.

I bake them and eat with nothing added. They are so delicious on their own, you don't even need to add anything. Salt is equivalent to heresy.

Sweet potato casserole is a close second though. If it was a bit less sweet, it would be great.

I prefer my sweer potato french fried

Boil it in pressure cooker with a bit of sea salt. They do make curries but I like em just like this.

after 5-10 min
remove most of the water, keep cooking for the next 5 min

or you can just steam them

Those are yams.

No such thing as a yam, just different varieties of sweet potatoes.

Also, we bake them like a normal potato and add sugar and cinnamon. Purty good.
